Water Bottle Holder
 
I would like to find a water bottle holder. I know most come with some sort of device to hang on a wire cage but I do not use a wire cage. What I would like is a free standing unit that I can put the water bottle into. I think it would be much nicer so Ben does not get his little chin wet all the time in his water bowl.

I know I saw one made of wood some time back but cannot find it anymore. I don't even remember if it was one for sale or just one someone had made for their own pet.

they have ones that look like a mini water cooler but his face would still get wet. i use the water bottle ones that attaches to his crate but i suppose if you're a handy person, you can just make a stand for it? maybe try clay? the ones that harden and just press the spout end into the clay and wait for it to harden and then use it as a stand? theoretically it should work as long as the piece of clay is big enough and the bottom dries flat. it may not look pretty but it works. actually you could paint it a pretty color.

We just purchased a free standing water bottle based on a recommendation from Jennifer (JCarlson) and it has been a great investment!!

Thanks -- That is an interesting idea. Some creative person could probably make a business making them. I may try something like that -- if not clay, maybe wood.

Thanks for the link! That is exactly the type of holder I am looking for. Did you buy the large one? Does it not tip over easily? A little pricy ($48.50 total for the 32 oz) for a dowel stand and water bottle, but then they get extra for ingenuity.

We bought the 20 oz bottle....and to this point our girls have not tipped it over. The base seems large enough to keep it stable. It is really helping with our Magic's face hair....it has stayed alot cleaner than when she was drinking out of a bowl....so for that reason I was willing to pay more to save me some time with grooming!

Thanks Amanda -- now all I have to do is make a choice. I sort of like that one that is also a water filter. Our tap water has a lot of chlorine odor. I'll mull this over a bit.

That is why I want to try the water bottle too. Keeping those chins dry will be worth it. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

I aboslutely LOVE that water bottle!! It helps keep my babies hair CLEAN and DRY (Tia used to love sticking her face in her water bowl LOL :D) and it also keeps the water sanitary and free from nasty floaties and dust bunnies. :D

I have a water bottle feeder that I carry on my website. Both my babies love it and no mess . . .it is attached to pens.
