What a great product Karen! It totally makes sense... I love the pink that Sugar and Curri have :D |
1 Attachment(s) What a great idea! I like to bring Jackson to my uncle's house, but his fenced in yard is that wrought iron type and he can squeeze through in certain parts of it (where storms have messed up the iron, and whatnot) so I'm always a nervous wreck watching him like a hawk when we visit. In the summer, I leave Jackson's lifejacket on most of the day, and last summer, I left the lifejacket on while over at my uncles because it prevented him from slipping through any cracks. It's a similar concept... and the lifejacket is more "constricting" than these bumpers, but he has NO problem running at full-speed while wearing it, or jumping in the air to catch a ball. Doesn't bother him at all. And not to mention, a lifejacket by a pool is, again, another safety feature to prevent him from falling in and drowning (even though he is a great swimmer, you never know). I am ALL for letting a dog be a dog (as most of you know! Jackson is about as much 'dog' as you can get ;)) but safety is important too. |
This is great. When I bring teddy to my parents they have fence around their pool but teddy can slip between the fence. I fear him falling in the pool and drowning. This will be great ease to my mind when we visit |
What a wonderful idea! |

I was staying at a friends house for the weekend, they live on a very busy street ~ so busy that they have gates at every single entrance to their home! They have a fully fenced in yard (perfect for their Boston Terrier) but that fence is no match for a tiny Yorkie! With the Puppy Bumpers I was able to (almost) fully relax and let them roam and sniff all day long  |
I soooooo totally love the concept of these...but I do have just one question....If this is meant to be worn with a collar....is it safe enough for a yorkie's delicate trachea, or could it be also used with a harness???? |

I, personaly, love the bumpers and I am placing my order for Remy, my grand-dogs Ace and Zoie. I really don't need them in my back yard but when I think of the stress I have when visiting/traveling ! I can not alter other peoples and hotels fences!!! This is a great solution !!!! Quote:
Thanks Karen for introducing this product! |
I'll be getting this for Julie for sure!!! :):):) We have a very high deck that I'm so worried that she'd fall through and get killed. Awesome awesome! Starlette |

Just ordered one (pink) for Julie :) This will come in VERY handy when we take her to the mountains. QUESTION: Any issues with the stairs (outside)? Starlette |

What a neat idea! And cute too! |
@AllDogBoots Provided you (or others) have a deck with stairs. Is the yorkie able to go up and down the stairs while using the bumper pad? Just a tad concerned that Julie could be going downstairs on our deck, miss her footing and tumble down the stairs because the bumper pad got in the way of her being able to measure distance. But I would for sure monitor and limit stair usage until you see how Julie is able to handle it. |
I got my bumper pad yesterday. Excited to try it out on our deck as soon as the snow melts. This will greatly reduce my concerns for her being on the deck. Thank you. |
I am so sorry for my delayed response! I haven't been getting any email notifications. I agree with Lisa's advice. While I don't think stairs will be a problem, definitely monitor her at first to see how she handles the Puppy Bumpers. My dogs don't even realize they are wearing them. |
