2013 Silk Harness Thread

Once again, I would like to thank all my wonderful YT family for your continued support. For my YT family members who are not familiar with the harnesses that I make here is a brief history.... for those of you who know, thanks for your indulgence. Silk Step-In Harnesses came into being soon after I became owned by my first Yorkie Laciebug. I couldn’t find a harness that was SAFE enough, small enough and gentle enough. Being a seamstress and being unwilling to settle for less than the best for my precious Laciebug, I spent untold hours in R/D with different harness styles and fabrics. I chose Step-In’s and Dupioni Silk for the following reasons:

1) There is NOTHING in the delicate throat area – properly fitted, the straps fit across the center of the chest and under the belly.

2) Not only is Dupioni Silk gentle on delicate hair, it is incredibly strong and it has a simple elegance that is compliments the essence of Yorkies.

3) The harnesses are so light weight that most little ones don't even notice them.

4) There is a double safety factor with the buckle and "D" rings.

5) Step-In's are unbelievably easy to put on! The harness is basically a "bra without cups" one leg goes through each hole; the silk straps snuggle around the sides, snap the buckle at center back and the harness is on. Attach the leash to both "D" rings and you are ready for a walk.

When ordering a harness for your furbaby, the harness is custom fit using the measurements you provide. I thank you for your patience while I am carefully constructing your harness order.

10.00 -- Take2 Coupler - Adjustable
17.00 -- Take2 Coupler w/Swarovski Crystals – NOT Adjustable customer specifies length of each link

7.50 -- Basic Collar lots of up and down adjustment
12.00 -- Collar w/clear Swarovski Crystals – minimum amount of adjustment to allow for more bling

Shipping: Orders over $30 shipping is included, under $30.00 shipping is $3.00

Ordering is as easy as A- B- C-

A) Measure your little one right behind the front legs, DO NOT add in any extra -- I always allow both up and down adjustments.

B) Send Measurement and Silk Selections from the Silk Selections and your paypal billing email via pm. Additionally, the age and weight of your little one helps me to visualize his/her size for a more perfect fit.

C) Once we finalize your order, I will send a detailed paypal invoice for your ease in submitting payment. Please request mailing information for if you wish to pay via personal check or USPS Postal Money Order.

I ordered a leash with the take 2 coupler at the end of last year. We were pleased!! :thumbup:

silk harness set

Please advise. What is the difference between the basic harness and the walk nice harness?

You can see in this picture. The Walk Nice has a D ring near the chest of the dog that forces them not to pull.

The regular harnesses have D rings on their shoulder blades.

Looking for Pictures

Not sure why but I am unable to pull up anything when i click on your silk selections. I sent a PM a few days ago but haven't found a response. Hoping you got the PM. I am interested in the step in harnesses but I would like to see some pictures first.

Chattiesmom started this thread and I am sure she reads the posts. Perhaps she does not have a solution yet. May be a Mac thing! Don't know about Etsy.

I don't think it's a Mac thing. I used to be able to open but just tried and can't open. The website must be having technical difficulties. Give her some time to fix it.

I hope everything is ok with chattiesmom as I also sent her two pm's and still have not heard from her!!! Her talent is in demand!!!

Hope she is ok too! Could be her computer is down? Or hopefully, she is just busy.
