Yay! More LA Lovers! It is soooo nice to see more people offering the Life's Abundance food! I have been a Rep for 2 years now ever since I tried it myself. I LOVE seeing this, as LA is getting more well known due to its great benefits! I (well myself and my babies) use all Life's Abundance products! So glad to see more people trying it!!! |
Thank you for the samples. It is a hit in my house as well! |
:)Are you still sending out free samples? My 3 yorkies have eye boogers and would like to try this food. I pm'd you with my address if you still are. |
Betty Boop loved her free samples of LA. I didn't even have to add extra bites of chicken to tempt her. Thanks for the free samples, Dana. |

I was just researching this brand my Rudy is the pickiest eater of all my dogs, I have to beg and plead with him to eat :( It drives me nuts for a couple of weeks he loves a new food then one day to the next he can not be bothered and snubs it. currently I have him on Evo, Solid Gold and Natural Balance, and Dyne Supplement for days he refuses to eat I would love to see if he will eat this brand I am desperate! |
I got my first order in today. I used one of the sample bags just as treats, from the day I got them in the mail. The last few days my two (who are not picky eaters by any stretch of the imagination) have been refusing to eat their Blue Buffalo. Yesterday evening I opened the other sample so I could start the changing them over as I knew my big bag would be delivered today. Well they won't eat the blue at all they pick through it and only eat the LA. My question is how do you slowly transition them if they will not eat the old food. I don't want to upset their tummies, but I want them to get enough to eat. |
How to Transition to Life's Abundance Quote:
This is a document that we are able to give our customers written by founder Dr. Jane Bicks. I hope this helps. Over feeding can cause loose stools, so please follow directions and serving amounts. :) HOW TO BEGIN FEEDING LIFE’S ABUNDANCE Thank you for choosing Life’s Abundance Premium Health Food for your dog. Due to its superior quality, I’m confident that your dog will continue to benefit from it over the course of his or her lifetime. Please follow these recommendations for switching from your dog’s current food to the new Life’s Abundance dry food. Please remember, these are general guidelines. Some dogs are more sensitive to changes in diet than others. Some will do fine with a slightly faster change, and some will take longer. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT SWITCH TO LIFE’S ABUNDANCE OVERNIGHT. A dog’s intestinal system is unique in that it requires a slow introduction to a new diet. GRADUALLY SWITCH TO LIFE’S ABUNDANCE FROM YOUR DOG’S CURRENT DIET, OVER THE COURSE OF 5 – 7 DAYS. Review the feeding guidelines on the back label of the bag to determine the appropriate quantity of Life’s Abundance for your dog. For the first two days, feed ¼ of the recommended amount of Life’s Abundance and supplement the remaining ¾ with the older food. On the third and fourth days, feed ½ of the recommended amount of Life’s Abundance and ½ older food. On the fifth and sixth days, use ¾ of the recommended amount of Life’s Abundance and ¼ of the older food. On the seventh day, the transition period is over and you can feed Life’s Abundance according to the recommended amounts without using the previous food. HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE CONVERTING TO THE NEW FOOD CORRECTLY? The reaction of your dog’s body will be your guide. Life’s Abundance stools should be firm and small. If the stools become softer or excessive, you have switched over too quickly or may be feeding too much. If you encounter some of these issues, simply decrease the amount of Life’s Abundance you are feeding by ¼, even if it is less than the recommended amount on the chart. Continue feeding this amount until the stools become firmer and/or less frequent. REFRAIN FROM FEEDING YOUR DOG ANYTHING ELSE NEW UNTIL THE TRANSITION TO LIFE’S ABUNDANCE IS COMPLETED. Your immediate goal is to introduce and convert your dog’s diet fully to Life’s Abundance. If you add other new products (like treats or supplements) all at the same time, your dog’s intestinal tract is more likely to experience problems. Once your dog’s diet consists of Life’s Abundance food alone, feel free to add new treats and or supplements at that time. By following these helpful directions, your dog should enjoy a smooth transition to a truly superior food. Wishing you and your companion animal a lifetime of health and happiness, Dr. Jane Bicks |

Let me know how things are going. It might take a few days, but it will get better. Mine are so much happier eating Lifes Abundance. :) |
I had a thought and wanted to run it by you. I wondered if maybe it takes less of the LA to fill our furbabies up. Jada and Bogie are eating about 1/2 of what they normally eat. Yesterday and today I gave them 1/2 of the blue and 1/2 of LA for the transition. They are eating a lot slower as I think the larger and harder kibble they actually have to chew. It seems to be filling them up and their poops are fine and they have lots of energy. I think they are getting plenty it is just taking less food they they normally get to fill them up. It was stressing me when they wouldn't finish their meal all at once.(I am used to them being vacuum cleaners) I am leaving what they don't immediately eat out and they are grazing more, which IMO has to be healthier. I just wanted to see what you think.[/QUOTE] |

Yep, its important to look at the kcal/cup of the food, rather than the amount they're eating (that's what I've learned anyways). Life's Abundance seems to be 441 kcal per cup so they're getting more food by eating less. :) If that makes sense. Here's a good calculator. :) http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/dog-fe...od-calculator/ |

Did you get my PM? I keep hearing this from folks noticing their dogs are eating less. :) yay! The nutrients, larger kibble and freshness of the food all plays a big part in this. Some dogs eat and eat because they are not being fullfilled, you can be sure with LA they are getting what they need. I really believe the bigger kibble (not that it is very big) is better for them because they do chew it rather than sucking it down whole. Glad to hear their poo is normal! :) Awesome that they like it so well! :D  |
I recieved my free samples today. Wow, that was fast. The kibbles are bigger than what I am currently feeding now and I was worried Daisy my 3 pounder wouldn't be able to eat them. Boy was I wrong she loves it. I also have 2 males Rosco is the picky one. Bo loved it. Rosco actually ate some, which I was surprised he is soooooooo picky. I am going to see how it does on their eye boogers. That is so nice of you to send samples:) |
