I was just a bit taken aback to see you posting these items for sale given that many of them were donated to you...to your 'charity' for use. So to see you posting them for sale, for profit, to the same group of people who likely donated many of them to you in the first place...well, it's just odd.. Especially given the situation and criticism surrounding you at the time that you quit posting on YT.

The last update here on YT was that both you and your charity were being investigated by both the police and FBI for fraudulant activity. Maybe it was a misunderstanding and nothing came of it...I'm assumimng that to be the case since you are selling items gifted to this 'cause.'

Great post, I don't want to cause lots of drama, but I'm so shocked to see this. Dena did you buy these things, or were they donated for Emma? Where's the money going? You cannot use money for yourself that was donated on the behalf of a charity, legitimate or otherwise. How about Ladymom, you are selling her new bows for a lower price than what she sells them for, how is this going to affect her? This just seems sooooo wrong.

I am not going to respond to this thread anymore (I hope), as it is a For Sale thread and members can make decisions for themselves, and because per the rules, the OP cannot respond, as she pointed out to me in several not-so-nice PMs. I was unaware of that, so I apologize for posting up suggesting that an explanation be offered.

Just for the record I posted once thinking I'd buy something. Once I realized who the original poster/seller was I remembered the Emma episode and bought nothing and no longer communicated.

I bought some things, not aware of history. Too late to stop now. I just think...I hope she uses the money properly.

With Admin's permission - I am going to post my reply to Misty's (BamaFan) never ending instigation and accusations.

Long before Emma, I have been known to "overindulge" in the "spoilage" of my furbabies by purchasing far too much in the way of clothing items and accessories for them.

I have also been known to post huge sale threads from time to time, right here on YT, in order to make way for new purchases.... this is nothing new...

The items posted in the sale album are MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS -- purchased by me (many through YT vendors and members) - - or sent as GIFTS to my pups through various YT exchanges or other events - and have either gone unused or been grown out of.

While I don't feel the need to re-hash old issues regarding our efforts to build a non-profit foundation idea through our network of "Emma Supporters" - - (all the information that anyone may desire in regards to all of that, can be found in Emma's MySpace blogs or you are certainly more than welcome to contact me directly) - - I will say that all I'm trying to do here is clear out some closets and drawers while bringing in a little bit of cash to help provide for the litter of newborn pups that I've recently taken in.

Misty - you have attacked darn near every post I've ever made in relation to ANY topic - since I joined YT three years ago. I've no idea what your "real issue" is with me, but you are crossing a line when you involve yourself in matters of which you have absolutely no knowledge.

You can't even relay the correct spelling of my NAME after three years, yet you somehow are able to so easily convince people to jump on your bandwagon while spewing blatant lies about topics you know nothing about... subjecting new members to a plethora of YOUR ill willed intentions.

You were never involved in the goings on regarding Emma - - (or Natalie, for that matter, which is where I believe this all started) - - you never donated a thing - never sent well wishes - never supported her recovery - never participated in helping to bring awareness to the issues of cleft palate in puppies - - - heck, as I understand it, you're not even a donating member of the YT community... so I'm not quite sure I know why it is that you expect I should respond to any of your hostile contacts with an explanation of ANYTHING....

Yet, here I am..... AGAIN.... trying to calm the chaos of something YOU started...... I'm receiving emails and phone calls, PM's and seeing posts from people in response to your accusations....

I'm certainly not opposed to someone "calling me out" so to speak.... IF they have some LEGITIMATE concern with something that I've done....... but YOU.... don't have a clue........ and your contacts are becoming, at the very least, slanderous.

Now........ as for this thread........ it's a simple sale thread for folks to maybe pick up some nice items at fair prices - - so that I may better support some orphan puppies and my own insatiable desire to spoil my dogs rotten with new "stuff"..... so....... Misty, please channel your negativity and obvious need for attention through some other avenue.

Several items are still available, while many have already been sold - - it's possible I will be posting additional items, so for those of you who are interested in more than the nasty banter (I see the view count has gone up by over 170 since Misty made her post) - please keep checking back.

I'm not sure what you are trying to insinuate with this comment, but there are a large number of members here who have not donated to this site...I don't think that they are 'a class below' those members who have donated.:(

Asking you to explain a situation that YOU discussed on your public blog, which was posted again and again on this site, is not 'slander.' :rolleyes: You yourself stated that you'd been under investigation and admitted that you could not account for where the donated funds were spent, and that you were advised that you should return the donated funds and that no further funds should be donated.

This is a serious matter that YOU brought up and something that members here have a right to know if they are considering purchasing items from you, or anyone else here. I'd say that being investigated by the authorities for "interstate fraud and misrepresentation" (again, your words) is a pretty LEGITIMATE concern when you are posting for sale items. I too have received numerous emails and PMs from people who agree.
I am glad that the read count for this thread has increased...I hope that continues to be the case, whether it is because people are interested in what is being said, or because they feel they have found a cute outfit for their little furballs.

Just to add, I am sorry, but I have seen way too many members here taken advantage of and scammed over the years to just sit back and not say anything when I see a situation come up that looks even the slightest bit suspicious.
And if my concerns, be it here or at any point, are unfounded, so be it. It can easily be explained and cleared up, which is all I thought was needed here, as I stated. If my comments and concerns are that far off the mark, then it would be pretty obvious for anyone to take 3 minutes and see. Better safe than sorry, IMO.

Yes, the situation was discussed on my personal blog - - at the time that it was pertinent .... 8 months ago.... and in the appropriate place.... AND if you'd read the information leading up to that post, you'd find that ONE single person (much like you) instigated the ENTIRE thing.....

(FYI, I didn't say I was "under investigation" - I said I had been contacted with threats that investigations were already or were going to be set in place... this, coming from some self proclaimed officer sitting behind a desk in some state where this ONE person lives... *for all I know, it was one of her friends posing as this particular officer, who knows?* Besides the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office who dismissed the entire thing with a, "you can't do that without a license" warning - I never received a shred of documentation from any authoritative office).

It went nowhere.... because, in the end... it was clear that I had done nothing wrong..... I did not go into helping Emma looking at it as a "business".... therefore, no - I did not handle it as such... my mistake, I suppose....

Regardless..... all of the good that came about from the birth and trials of this one little pup - - and yes, the steps that I - and so many others - took to bring awareness to her experiences - - cannot be dimmed by pulling out the few tough times that we had to get through .... Emma's story has touched far too many hearts...

If you continue to read - beneath that post that you linked everyone to - the dozens and dozens of comments from folks who actually HAVE BEEN involved in our efforts from day one - - - and KNOW THE SITUATION -- you'll find post after post in support of everything that was done.

I have given and given and GIVEN - almost till it hurts.... not just in Emma's case... but in EVERY case.... I help in ANY way I can - WHEREVER I can.... whether it be public calls right here on YT for kids needing school supplies - - or pets needing medical treatment.......... handicapped animals deserving of a little special holiday..... our soldiers over there doing without a little bit of home..... missionaries needing a little help with the children in foreign villages .... fires that have destroyed homes and left families with nothing........... I DO WHAT I CAN........... and you have no idea how very much it angers me for you, or anyone else, to insinuate that I would participate in ANYTHING that would TAKE AWAY from ANYONE.

It's exhausting........ and frankly - I'm DONE with it..... (which is the very reason there IS NO "Cleft Companions: The EMMA Foundation"........

I suppose I should fight my way through it and accomplish what we set out to do.... but looking back - - I realize that I just don't have the "armor" to withstand the "publicity" of such a venture.

YOU stated that you'd been contacted by various agencies.
YOU stated that you didn't document or keep track of where donations were spent.
YOU brought it to light to begin with.
I'm a bit baffled at how you can just dismiss it all when you were very clearly concerned about the possible possible reprecussions would be as a result of your actions at the time....but whatever.

I commend you for the charitable acts that you have mentioned as being a part of...LOTS of people 'give and give and give.' (Even those of us who are not donating members of this site. :p) But those acts don't make us 'exceptions', they just paint us as active members of society. :)

Again, my opinion is that if you are offering items for sale on YT, members here have a right to know this information and make their own decision. That has been done, so yes, as far as I'm concerned, the issue "can be put to rest."
