The Softee Collar (Cone Collar) 4 Attachment(s) Hi Everyone. This is my first attempt in selling on YT so bear with me. :) Years ago, I had to put one of those awful cone collars on my 6 month old kitten as she bit thru 2 of her 3 stitches from her spay. When Hot Rod had his lp surgery, poor baby started licking his incision and the surgeon told me that I needed to put a collar on him. Well, I could not bear to put one of those things on him and I didn't want to put anything directly on his incision to irritate it so I put on the thinking cap and came up with "The Softee Collar". He was able to sleep in it and wear it all day without much to do. It wasn't awkward or difficult for him to maneuver with it on at all! I used Maggie as my model as Hot Rod was already stressed out recuperating from his surgery. As you can see, the collar can be turned down partially or all the way around. When he went to sleep, the collar just moved him and he didn't have to "adjust" himself around it at all! It is a little bit quilted which gives it some stability but I will also put some plastic stays in if you would like. The stays will just be added support and will be able to be removed. The fabric choices I have shown will be sewn with a corresponding backing and binding. Hot Rod and Maggie are 4 lbs and I did not need the stays in his collar...he was not able to get his mouth over the length of the collar. If you would like to have other colors or prints, just pm me, I have a bunch of other choices. I thought that I would show the animal prints that I have available. I have 2 sizes that I can make, one for a 4 lber ($18.00) and one for a 7 lber ($20.00. Normal domestic 1st class shipping: $2.50. Priority mail - $4.95, ins. add'l. I take Paypal. Please pm with any questions! Thanks for looking! |

Hi all, Awhile ago my Scooter had to wear an Ecollar due to a problem with his anal glands. I posted my problem with the hard plastic cone and Hot Rod's Mom was so kind as to tell me about her Softee Collar. I tried it and it was the greatest. Scooter had been walking around smashing that stupid plastic cone from the vet into furniture and walls and me. With the Softee Collar he had absolutely no problem at all plus he wasn't able to get to his butt. He was comfortable and even could sleep without any problem wearing his cute little collar. I think it's the only way to go if your baby has to wear "the cone". When Scooter wore the plastic vet's cone, he looked so sad I couldn't bear to look at him. Once he tried on the Softee, he was his old self, plus he looked so adorable. Thanks Mom to Hot Rod. |
Cool Idea! Best of Luck with the biz :) |
Wow, great innovative idea. :)I wish I knew about this when I had Cassi spayed last year. I tried the onsies, but she managed to get out of them...eventually I had to sew the onesies literally on her so that she couldn't get out (which was a pain). |
great idea! I will keep you in mind if I ever need a collar for the babies.... |
Oh, these look quite nice. I'll keep these in mind. What an adorable little model Maggie is.:) |
These are a great idea ~ my girls are 10 lber though. Let us know if you offer sizes for the larger girls (or boys)!! :yelrotflm |
Nice! Wish I had these when Momo got neutered! Will keep you in mind. |
Those are wonderful! I love that they are soft...... |
More selections 1 Attachment(s) Here are few collars that I have ready to go. I am in the process of getting some more fabrics together. I think the bright prints will make it less painful to see our little ones hurting. :) The Softee Collar has velcro closures so it is adjustable. The Softee can be folded down so the dog/cat can eat so you don't have to take it off each time. It is very versatile. :) |
Hi everyone - I just wanted to add my two cents worth here. I SAW the Softee Collar in person at the Meetup in Alexandria and I can tell you that they are INCREDIBLE!!!! Every Yorkie owner should have at least one -- you never know when you will need such a fantastic medical device. Bo, my hat's off to you for your creativeness and the care and skill that went into making this collar. I will be ordering one just as soon as I decide on a color. |
I agree. They look very cute and comfy and I guess everyone should have one at home just in case. Your little guy is quite the model! Good luck to you.:animal36 |
I too got to see these in person. They are so cute and definitely what I would prefer over "the plastic cone" any day!! My hats off to you Bo for your creativeness. Thanks for looking out for our babies...I wish you well in your new business venture..boy you need to get these out there quick..I'm sure you will do well. You should also do larger ones as well when you are able. I too have some larger girls and tiny girls but thinking expansion for pet owners with other breeds(larger) as well. You go girl!! |
