Portrait of your dog for Christmas? I am an artist specialising in pet portraits. Anyone who is interested in commissioning a portrait for Christmas should be thinking about putting an order in now. I am based in the UK but take orders worldwide. |
Love your work Pauline, First let me say welcome to YT !!!! Second it is a small world we are linking partners. :) I hope in the future I will be able to get portrait done of my Yorkie family. It just has to go on the back burner until next year... :( With Christmas coming and 12 grands, well you know who comes first... Then me. :p Besides I have to get the perfect picture of all my fur babies for you to paint from. Again, WELCOME.... |
What prices do you charge for your paintings? |
I went to her website and she is very reasonable. I'm not sure how customs works though. i know when shipping TO UK there are alot of extra charges and I'm sure it works the same way shipping from UK to US. Anybody know??????? |

My current shipping costs are $20 to the US. This includes all packaging and postage. |
Confused Well I think your work is just great but the whole shipping thing seems a bit much. Maybe it's different from UK to US then US to UK. If I send stuff regular mail( to UK) it is a couple bucks. If I send it the faster way it is usually $10, up to ...I can't remember ... either one pound or 2. Then what about the fee when the person picks up the package. I know the person receiving the item usually has to pay extra to collect the package from another country... I can't remember the name of the fees... maybe someone else can remember. I know alot of people purchasing stuff on ebay find this out the hard way. They pay shipping costs but don't realize they have the other fee when the package comes. So anyway.. not trying to be rude, but just trying to get it straight because I'm not sure. I DO LOVE your work  |
its called duties and taxes... shipment will have to clear customs and receiver is responsible for those charges... i work for an airfreight co. in jfk/airport and we have a import dept here that clears frt. |
by the way, sorry i just love your paintings and thinking about getting on from you, just have to take a good one on my lexi |

All I know is I pay the $20 (equivalent in pounds) and the painting goes off. I have completed numerous paintings for people in the US and no one has ever said they needed to pay more to get the painting. Maybe you americans just accept this!! How much do you have to pay? |
depending on the product shipped and depending on customs. dont know what the charge is, sometimes its free . i know that if duties and taxes are free, they(customs) will charge an mpf fee. merchant processing fee. sometimes its like 25 dollars... |
Pauline, Your work is just lovely and your prices even with shipping are more than fair. I was very impressed with the dreamy quality of the landscapes. What part of the UK are you from? oops, welcome to YT! |
