Santa's hats
 
Does anyone have an idea how to make Santa's hats for the dogs?:rolleyes:

That is a really cute idea. I was going to go to the dollar store to see if they had any small ones.

The one I have is basically a triangle. Figure out how big around you need to make it. Mine has a band of white furry stuff (I don't know what the fabric is called) that's about 1 1/2" and then the red part is approx. 6 1/2" that comes to a point. Then there's a little white furry ball at the top. It flops over by itself. There's a 3/4" band of white elastic sewn about 1/2 way up the inside of the white band and is adjustable. I think it's probably that wide b/c the weight of the top of the hat might pull it off if the elastic was narrower. Hope you can see this picture:

They usually have small Santa hats at Petsmart. Cost 3 bucks maybe.

That's so cute! I have just one little one that i used for Teddy last yr that belonged to a stuffed animal and i detached it and put a stretchy string around it. I think i want 2 more for the girls.

That is so awesome that you made that - what a cute Santa hat - it fits so perfectly. Wish I could sew..sniff...sniff..:( Izzy would look so cute in one.

You can sew! Buy yourself a cheap machine and read how to info on the net,you can do it!
