We use either the blue ones on the roll like you all have mentioned, or sometimes I take a plastic Target or grocery bag with us. I use the inside out method ;) as you've all be talking about...if you use a larger plastic bag like a Target bag, you can pick up the first poop, then tie it off in a knot as close to the bottom of the bag, and then you still have enough bag left to pick up after the second dog, and tie it off twice! I just carry it home with us or toss it in the park garbage can. It's kind of the same idea as a diaper genie, if anyone's familiar with how that works. |
I just leave it and walk away like I didn't see anything. Just kidding. I use the Ziploc type sandwhich bags. Once you seal it, you can't smell it. I used to use old grocery bags in an effort to recyle, but the stink was unbearable as my biological trash fills at a much slower rate than my recycle bins (I love my recycle bins). Chris |
I guess I'm off to the dollar store! Thanks guys, I guess I'll go to the dollar store and see about those bags. I saw poop bags at Petsmart and they were pretty expensive (for what they are). And I guess I will be carrying around a bottle of Purel with me ;) |
hmmm, I have never seen these. I will have to go but the dollar store. What dollar store is it? What chain? Quote:

I use the blue bags on the roll also (bags on board) or sandwich baggies in a pinch. I'll have to check out these ones at the dollar store though! I hate spending the money on poop bags lol. |
I use a double paper towel to pick up the poop then wrap it and put it into a sandwich bag and seal. Use 3-4 daily. |
I use the newspaper bag that is around your newspaper. and the out-in-and tie . |
I do. It's no big deal. You put your hands in the bag, grab the poo and turn the bag inside out. NO fuss no muss and you kept the place clean. I buy my poop bag at kv vet supply and I pay a very low cost for the bags. It's the cheapest I have found and they even have a cute little bag you can buy and attach to your leash so you can carry them. The bag comes in several colors. |
I use the same method as everyone here and prefer the darker bags not to see the poo. However, for the squemish (like my hubby), you can always use the poo bag and then tie the poo bag to the leash so YOU don't have to carry it. Also, Kiwi likes wearing her little backpack from Outward Hound and if we are on a long walk, hubby will stick her poo in one of the pockets and make her carry it! |

We just use the sandwich baggies. Usually we just go around the block, so it's not that long that I have to carry the poop. If were going around the neighborhood, there's a garbage can at the beach where I can throw it in. My neighborhood has an open area with just a trail, grass, and an area for BBQ, and this whole area is called a dog park. There are NO trash cans in the place though! The association is always sending newsletters about picking up after your dog (which I agree because no one likes to have dog poop in their yard)..but even to water the grass right after your dog pee's so it doesn't kill the grass, but then they can't even have a garbage can in the dog park! |

The Dollar Tree has the 50 for $100 bags. ????? I think the name of the other dollar store is Just $$ and More -- not sure -- anyway the second store has the 100 for $1.00. Both are clear. Also check in the baby section for diaper disposal bags. :) Some of them are scented. |

Talk about earning your keep, Kiwi! |

I use sandwich bags from Superstore, they are something like $2.97 for 300. If you're worried about handwashing, you can buy small travel sized bottles of Isogel or similar (anti-bacterial hand gel). |
