Pet Gear Happy Trails Stroller...anyone have this I have questions
 

First does it have a strap inside that you can attach a harness too? Also, how do you like this stroller? I am looking for a stroller for Gracie and Hallee and the one I really want is too expensive ,I think for a pet stroller. I found a good deal on a new one of these. I prefer a pink one, but the one the girl has for sale is brand new, in the box, but it is blue. I could deal with blue, since it is $50.00 cheaper than buying the same one in the store.

No,strap inside, I think you could easily add one though. I have it and have no complaints. I just don't use it.

Why do you need to put your dog in a stroller?

Does it have leg problems or spine problems or something? Otherwise- i would just let my dog walk like nature intended....

Strollers are a nice safe way to take your dog to public outings.

Yep and I like to go to flea markets whre dogs are allowed if you carry them. THis is less stress on him and me!

Ive heard good things about this stroller.

We have had the blue stroller for a couple of years and it's been a blessing. First off, when we go to a little town to shop in the summer, it's either leave the dogs at home or put them in the stroller. The pavement is just too hot and it's too hot to carry them and try to shop too. They are welcome into the shops if they are in their stroller. Next, I can go to the malls and do hands free shopping and never get told to leave when they are in the stroller and I can stop at the food courts to eat. We also like them to be in the stroller when we are at outside eating resturants so they don't have to lay on the pavement or get tangled up in chair legs. Just yesterday we went to a BAJA Fresh to eat with the dogs in the stroller. One lady ask where to get the dog strollers so she could get one. They are a life saver. My dogs DO go for long walks every evening when the pavement isn't hot. They do get lots of exercise, but there is a time and place for everything.

We have this stroller and all 3 fit in there. Attachment 147320
It is perfect for walking them. I do let them out to walk one at a time and then when they get tired, i switch to another one. We have the pink one and my hubby loves to walk with the girls in it. He sure does get a lot of attention! LOL!! We like this brand since it has the 4 wheels and is very sturdy for turning and such. When we go to places where they need to be protected, this is great as they can be in there safe and yet still see everything going on. It also has the tray at the bottom to put water bottles, and leashes. Your babies will love going out in this!! :D

Why dont you leave your dogs in the house? Its not bad for them, in the wild they would spend time away from their pack and its alot better, if something bad happens or your circumstances change so that you cannot be with your dog 24/7 then he/she wont be stook in the routine.

Sorry if you disagree- as much as I love my dog, i want him to be what he is, a DOG, not a baby or anything similar.

I see that you are only 15 years old and male. Maybe one day you will understand that these ARE OUR BABIES and we love being together!! :D
having the stroller is just an option for someone. I hope you allow your "dog" to come into your house out of the weather even if he/she is just a dog.:(

I dont see why this is of any relevence at all to be honest.
You may think your dog loves being with you- but he will also appreciate t ime without you and it will be better for him/her behvioural wise to be able to spend time away from you.
Of course he does. I love my dog as much as you do- but fortunatley, this love also means that i respect that he is a dog and does not feel human emotions. such as sadness ect.

He is an animal and i think they should be treated with respect and kindness- in the form of letting them do what they would naturally or as close as you can allow them to be.

He lives in my house all the time and is played with, and will be taken for walks etc when he has had his 2nd needles.
We are very dog orientated people, and we also train our dogs and are in touch with their natural side.

I do not see why people would want to take their dogs out when its too hot on the pavement- therefore the air temperature must be pretty hot for the poor things.
You wouldnt like a dog to impose its way of living onto you.
I.E Put you in a dog basket and give you dog food and dog toys and have you walk on a lead and poop outside and put you in a collar etc.

So why should you put a dog in human situations?

I see that you're still pretty new here. But you have to at least read some of the other posts by other members, since you've posted here a few times already. When looking at the other posts you'll see that more tha half the people who post here dress their dog, they put shoes on their dog, they buy carriers and strollers for their dog. Most of the people who post here are female and they have a motherly instinct towards their dog. You're a guy.. you're probably not going to put your dog in a dress, carry it in a carrier or walk it in a pink stroller. We don't judge you for not treating your dog the way we do, so please don't pass judgement on any of us.

Dogs do love being with people. Dogs do not need or want "alone time". They are pack animals and need socialization with humans. I'm not saying that you can't leave your dog alone, but its not something that they crave.

Its generally accepted among behavioralists that dogs do have emotions. They communicate those emotions to us through body language, facial expressions, and noise. Yes, dogs can feel sad, just as they can feel happy, fearful, and excited. Dogs can even have emotional disorders such as OCD, GAD, and separation anxiety.

I never passed judgement at all- I simply asked a question and was met with a snappy response which was extremely defensive.
I have found the complete opposite in many dogs- as puppies, they need to learn that they cannot be with their owners 100% of the time- and many of the things you mention below are caused by puppies being molly coddled and not having time alone to learn to cope with that.
I understand dogs have emotions in a way- but they are not as advanced or intelligent as humans- they get stressed out and can get sadn or angry- but they will generally only pine for their owner if they feel they are on top of the pack hierarchy, as they are wondering and panicking incase THEIR pack doesnt return.
