Drinkwell Pet Fountains? Does anyone have one of these. I got a catalog from Dr. Foster and Smith and it has a pump in it to where it cleans the water. ? |

I have *almost* talked DH into this one: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...2002+2012+2032 I like the other one, but the way the water comes out would scare Harley (my 7 yr old chi who is terrified of his own shadow - literally) |
I have a similar one, but I don't like it. It's hard to clean and it still gets the "floaties", so it's constantly needing dumped out, (all the parts washed), reassembled. I'll stick with my regular dishes :) |
I have tried all of the major brands. Just got this one and like it the best. It is the easiest to clean. It comes apart and you can buy the cleaning kit that has a size of brush to fit every nook and cranny. With 4 cats, cleaning becomes a real issue with the other brands, but not with this one. The way this one is built, gunk does not get into the pump. With other brands, the pump quit working because it got full of gunk. Dr.'s Foster and Smith is also a great company to deal with. Fast shipping. I recommend the Drink Well highly. |

Haha, thats funny. You will have to post pics of that! |
I was also thinking about ordering the drinkwell, or I was thinking about getting a stand for there water bottle and just using that. Have not decided yet?? |
That's a really nice one Kelsey. |
I have the Pet-Mate Fresh Flow fountain from PetSmart. I use distilled water, it doesn't get the gonk in the pump. Furbaby loves it, gets her face all wet--LOL The cat likes it also, but took the cat a few days to adjust to it. |
I have two petmate fountains and I am so glad I got them!! I have the small one and the jumbo one. All the animals love drinking out of them. And I find them very easy to clean. I am a bit of a nut when it comes to cleaning for my dogs so I take the fountain apart almost every day and clean it out and replace the filter every two weeks even though they are good up to two months. It is a bit more work than just cleaning out a bowl but I would never switch back, atleast I know my fluffs are getting clean fresh water. Plus I don't have to fill it up as often as I do with a regular bowl. I am looking to get another fountain here soon for just the cats. I highly recommend pet water fountains!! |

I cleaned mine this past weekend, you just have to learn how to take the motor off. They have a cat on, at Dr. Foster and Smith, and you can put food in it!!! |
