That's too funny! I just ordered from that site this morning. This time I bought the 'Phat' Flossies. It was $88 for 24, but they are long - 11" and I always cut them in half anyway before I give them. ...but I had always bought them from Jeffer's Pet Supply. Wow that's definately a GREAT price! Tobi had his first flossie this weekend and he LOVED it! I loved how it doesn't smell as badly as bully sticks...if only they lasted longer! He's only had it for 5 days and it's almost done (I take it away from him after 20 min).:D |

...well...flossies are like 'Crack' - once they get one it is very hard to take it away from them. I cut mine in half and TJ can eat the whole 1/2 piece in about 1.5 hours. When it gets close to the end, I somehow pry it away from him to throw away. Once they have been chewed you have to be careful b/c bacteria and mold can grow on it. So, I ususally trim off the gross chewed end when it is time to take it away or if it is close to the end (small piece) I throw it away. These things can be filling, so it is best to limit how many you give in a week. But, new ones can last for a long time in the box. Best of luck |

I would like to know tooo YEAH that crack thing... I sould post a vidio of Tede and the "stick" What I do is We buy the Jumbo($5.50):( so he wont go through a whole one in one setting.I rummage through the box at the store to get the bigest one.The thickest. Hes a real chewer. So after dinner when we sit in bed and watch t.v. he gets toys on the bed and a stick. we let him chew for 1/2/hr to may be 40min. then take it... all the way out of the room. put it in the drawer and bownsy:animal37 :happyboun :dogzzz: then to sleepys.... i get up and go make a coffee. watch the news 20 min. then I give him a few treats like kibble to get his tummy having somthing in it. ( he has a week tummy) then he chews for about 20 min. flips it up it the air. throws it off the bed runs up and down the stairs with ""THE STICK"" i take it BAD MOMMY....He never get it alone or in his pen. flossies are great chew toys!! My Ruby loves them and will sit for at least an hour in the evening and just gnaw away at it. Sort of like a babysitter for me when I am busy around the house and can't keep my eye right on her(trying to potty train) so I give her one of these and I know she will sit still!! I have been paying 3.99 at Agway for them. |
