Itchy Yorkie [F][/FONT] Help Yorkie experts..........My Yorkie is scratching so bad he's loosing his hair on his bib and inner neck area. I took him to the vet and she couldn't detect any fleas. She gave me a hydrocordone cream 1% to help with inflammation and spreading. She says its allergies to grass. Now, what kind of shampoo should I use on him? I use Biogroom mink oil spray for a conditioner and it makes his coat beautiful and shiny. I need a good shampoo for my poor baby's itching problem and hot spots. He's 3 years old. I feed him Wellness Chix & sweet potato. So I know its not the food. He's been eating that for 2 years now and never had this issue. My baby needs your help in helping mom to find a good shampoo. |

How long has he been itching? Have you recently changed shampoos? Also, my old doggy had something similar, but, he ended up having sand fleas (iirc). They were really hard to detect. Best of luck to you and your baby. |

Well girls it started about 4 weeks ago. He went through the same thing last summer.... This never happens in the winter time. Only in the summer. I don't get it?? My vet says no fleas, no insect bites. She thinks its allergies to grass. His rash looks like the hives humans get. It's inflamed and red. I had him professionally groomed with a medicine shampoo and he was ok for a week...then he started itching again. Our vet gave me Triamcinolone Acetonide 1%. It's an anti-inflamoritory and it contains 1% steroid. It seems to be working. Theres also an odor coming from him. Hot spots on the infected area. My poor sweet boy, I just want him to be comfortable. His beautiful hair on his bib near his neck is gone. He had a gorgeous cottony bib. Any suggestions on which shampoo to use. I am just going to bath him myself. The vet said bath him every week to keep dirt out of his rash. |

I see all of you have a picture of your furbaby next to your messages. How do I put Jack's picture there? |
