Embroidery machine Does anyone have one they are using that can share some feedback  Pros and cons would be wonderful. I am in the process of getting one and would like to compare :) |
I had the brother Disney one. It was okay. I got rid of it because I didn't use it enough and now I want it back. I am in the process of buying one as well. I am curious to see what people have to say also. |

Will let you know. |
Okay. I am about to order my new sewing machine as well. I'm looking forward to hearing what you learn about . Thanks Des. |
I have a Singer Futura CE 200 and I'm very happy with it. It is connected to my PC and there I can make all kinds of designs and transfer them to the machine. The embroidery unit was defective though and I got a new one (after ~ 6 months.) I'm using the machine a lot and sometimes she works all day long. The Futura has a build in feature that allows to digitize your own designs it's called "AutoPunch". Don't buy the "PhotoStitch" software, it stinks! To convert photos the "Embird" software is perfect. |

oh cool . . what brand did you end up getting :) Maybe you should just get one that has monograming and embroidery included . . .I would do so if I did not have a reliable sewing machine. Less on my work table. As it is, I have 2 sewing machines and 1 serger so now I need to make room for an embroidery machine  and there sure isn't any space left :p |

http://sew4ever.com I have a laptop in my work shop with a wireless connection so I can share all files with our other 2 PCs and have access to the internet. Very convenient! :aimeeyork Ohhh.... and there is a Futura CE 100 too, less expensive, just less deco stitches, same embroidery unit... |

I can't help you to much. If you have a JoAnns Fabric store by you they have some really nice ones, and they give you lessons. |

There is a more sophisticated Singer it's called the "Quantum XL-6000" for ~ $3000. When I did my research I asked what's the difference between the two and the seller told me it's like a normal TV to a High Definition TV. The Singer Service Center here has demo machines and they show you everything. Ohhh... and BTW, there are tons of embroidery designs on the web and they are either for free or cost about $10 to download. So sometimes I just get one of those b/c the designing and digitizing takes quite some time. I always do the lettering myself with the graphics software and autopunch it b/c the font designs are pretty expensive. |
