Shampoo Question again!!! Okay, I have been debating over this so much, so I'm asking you guys again about the shampoo's but in a different way. I'm going to list 5 different shampoo's (what I'v narrowed it down to) and PLEASE let me know which ONE YOU use and/or think is the best. 1. Minksheen 2. Cowboy Magic Shampoo and Conditioner 3. Mane n Tail 4. Fur butter (just seen a thread about this one, first time I'v heard about it) 5. Cranberry Fields shampoo and conditioner Thanks again, |
I don't know about shampoos but alot of people have said that are good 1.minksheen 2.Cowboy Magic Shampoo and Conditioner 3.Cranberry Fields shampoo and conditioner |
What kind of coat does your Yorkie have? Silky or cottony? Seems like different shampoos work different on different coats. So far I have tried on Buddy (silky coat) 1. Pet silk shampoo and conditioner / It's ok, some really like it 2. Pantane: Love it 3. Cranberry Fields Oatmeal/Lavendar Conditioner/ So far the best 4. CC / Ice-on-Ice for detangling/ works great adds shine 5. Minksheen/ will use tonight. Some with silky coats say it's great. Hope that helps. |

Cranberry Fields is incredible.. Layla had such dry skin it was litterally peeling off her body... after two baths in this stuff it's gone... completely gone.. i am stunned... her drandruff was so bad you could see it in her fur and it looked horrible... but all of that is over with!!! its THE best stuff i've ever used.. and we've used a lot! |
I have a sample of Minksheen. If you want to try it before you buy it go on their webste and ask thm for a sample thats what did. Dont bother with Maine and Tail. I have a big bottle of that and dont like it |
We tried Cranberry Fields first and thought it was great. Since so many on here were raving about Minksheen I gave it a try. It is also very good. If I had to pick one over the other I'd pick Cranberry Fields. (Sydney has a silky coat) |
where can you buy cranberry field. |
I haven't tried any but after reading the post about minksheen..I am thinking about making the switch for Tootsie... Then I seen the post for Fur Butter...and wanted to know more about it...kekek |
The only review I can give on those brands is a neutral one for Cowbow Magic. The shampoo is okay and it does leave my two looking good but it has no nice after-smell. The Cowboy Magic Detangler and Shine is a great product if you need to demat but it makes my male a little too greasy looking and neither of mine really get mats. Sadie did get some tangles in her leg hair and a little CM Detangler on it made the comb slide right on through. So, as far as how they work -- very good. But, I want a nicer non-doggy smell. So, I will buy something different next time. For me it is between trying Cranberry Fields or Coat Handler next. |
I've tried all of those products on both of my dogs. They both have True Silk coats so if yours is a cotton or a modified silk coat your results might be different. Cranberry Fields shampoo and conditioner - We REALLY like this stuff, it works great for cleansing in a gentle way. If you have any dandruff problems this will take it away super fast! The smell is clean smelling but after they are bathed with it there isn't any "scent" on them per say. The product is SUPER cheap which is nicer on your budget! ;) Cowboy Magic Shampoo and Conditioner - Didn't work for either of mine, left their coats droopy looking and once they were dried off they looked a little greasy and there wasn't any scent to it really... Fur Butter - AWESOME product! Leaves Jaden and Jewelina's coats looking as smooth as butter! :p Great scent, really mositurizes, great to use as a conditioner treatment on their coats weekly! Mane N Tail- Didn't work for us, the conditioner seemed to light of a conditioner and didn't really give us any great results. We were stuck with a huge bottle and ended up giving it away. MinkSheen- We love this stuff! Awesome results, incredible shine. My breeder is a show breeder and this is the only thing she uses on her dogs and they are incredible! The scent from the bottle is initially strong but once it is rinsed off and they are dried it's a pleasent cedar/woody kind of scent that smells really clean and lasts. It has a coat conditioner in it so you don't have to use a conditoner with it and it has citronella and cedar in it as a natural preventitive to keep bugs from biting your pup when they go outside. This stuff keeps Jaden and Jewelina looking awesome and even 4 days after they've had a bath they smell wonderful and look like they were just bathed and dried! Most everyone here that has tried it on a silk coated dog really loves it, those that haven't had great results seem to be ones with a different breed other than a yorkie or a yorkie with a modified or cotton coat. Hope this helps! |
