Looking for harness I have no idea what the name of this harness is but it is somewhat different than the regular one. The dog's front legs go through it and it then comes up and attaches between the dog's shoulder blades at witch time the leash gets attached. This omitts the chest part from the regular harness. A friend told me about it, I have looked in the local pet shops and cannot find it. Do any of you ladies out there who sell pet supplies carry such a harness. It needs to be sturdy because Buddy is 13lbs and is strong. It is made of the same material as regular harness and leashes. Thanks in advance. Carol & Buddy:aimeeyork |

Thanks so much. I will contact Tiger's mom. Happy New Year, Carol & Buddy |
I will look on that site to, but I found a thin black adjustable one at Petsmart. I found the others on Ebay. |
Tinkerbell's Closet has some NICE ones but I don't know if thats the one you want I think the her user name is Shatink :) |
I love this harness. It is called a Buddy Belt and built very sturdy. You can even pull them up from their leash if a big dog comes near. I belong to a Yorkie meetup group and many of the owners love this harness cause it does not even get near their trachea. Here is the website http://www.buddy-belts.com/m_4.asp We went for a walk today and had to pull her up fast. |

May I ask how you chose a size for your baby? On the web-site, it says size 1is for 8-10" girth, weight up to 2#s. Size 2 is for 10-12" girth, weight 2-4#s. My monkeys sizes don't correspond. :( Kia's girth is 10", but she weighs 4#s, and Sydney's girth is 12", but she weighs 6.5#s. Any idea what sized I should order? Sheila |
Thanks everyone for your responses. I did find a member who I am working with. Just for laughs Buddy's girth is 18". I almost died when I measured him last night! His is 13lbs. Tiny he is not:D Thanks again. Carol & Buddy |
KellyV from here mentioned this on another forum. Metropawlis is offering a 15% discount on the buddybelt harness, til the end of the month. This is the coupon code, entered at checkout: "buddybelt2007". |
I got mine at moderntails.com. It is made by Puppia. It is the best! Can't say enough good things about it. If you search their site, you will see it. |

I bought Willow a step in harness online at Glamourdog.com. We like it. |
I always use a harness on Lex and I got it at the petstore but I have to say that I notice lately when he gets to pulling sometimes I can see that he is hurting himself. I had seen the buddybelt before and now I think I need to order it. Looking at the chest area I can see that it definitely holds way lower than a regular harness and will be better for the crazy puller. Thanks for the info. There is a store maybe 15 minutes from me so I will take him and size him. Thanks for the reminder. |
