I have VPI for LillyBelle-I calculated the costs for the first year-and I break even-premium vs care. It paid about 73.00 of her spaying, and another 23.00 for a previous visit for testing. It pays a small portion of vaccinations and routine care, 65.00 for annual teeth cleaning, you can look at the plan benefit. Anyway-its about even-total payment for premium and what it covers per/year-then if something major happens there would be some coverage for that. Believe it or not-its offered through my employer just like a family insurance plan---so I pay it by payroll deduction! |
I have VPI, but I had a huge struggle getting the insurance. Haruka has been very healthy but I was too honest about everything so I once got denied for insurance. The breeder had concern because she was not growing much and brought her to a vet for some blood tests. Tests came out very good, but because I talked too much to show my caring personality..... it went bad... So not always good to be too honest :) |

I would also like to know about pet insurance and if it\'s worth it. I\'m thinking of getting it for Teddy and London. How does it work? How much do you pay?Teddy\'s sick now and I\'m afraid they\'ll have to do xrays and the vet bill will be very high. |
wish I had I was considering the insurance and didn\'t take the time to investigate. Well Mimi broke her leg on Saturday. At the ER vet is cost me 550.00. I would only give her the best care that I can. I would not like to be facing major health issues and not be able to give her :aimeeyork the best care that I can. Maybe someone could post the links for good companies we can contact. |
i\'m in the process of getting it for my boys. coverage is $1500 per incident up to $8000 a year with a $100 annual deductible for basic coverage which is basically illnesses and accidents but not the preventative stuff like vaccinations and annual exam. i got a quote of $40 for both boys per month. |
