Rescue remedy Hi all....I have recently decided to try Bachs Rescue Remedy and did alot of research on it. After shopping around on line and in stores I found it for $8.39which is a huge savings from all the prices I have seen....pays to shop around I guess. So, I thought I would pass on the info for all those who use it and may need to re-order. I found it at www. vitacost.com Hope this helps some of you. |

Hi Brenda, Rescue Remedy is an herbal remedy that is used by people but is also safe for animals. It has several herbs in it that is supposed to calm down a nervous/upset person (dog). It works on some but not on others. It is a liquid that you can place a drop on their tongue or in the water bowl. I've used it on Bailey for car trips, sometimes it works on her sometimes not. I buy it at Wild Oats. Michele |

Thanks Michele! and Bailey looks adorable in her new coat! |
I think my mom uses that on her Maltese with GREAT results. Her dog (Zoey) is very nervous in the car and will pant the WHOLE time. She can be a very skiddish dog but this stuff really helps to keep her calm. |
AWESOME! Thanks so much for the info! My Hobbs pants and shakes on car rides. I really might try this stuff to see if it'll calm him down some.   |
I am using flower essences on Maggie too... which are Chestnut bud and Heather... but since it's been only for 1 week I've haven't seem much difference so far... but it's a long term treatment and some dogs take longer than others to show any results... Thanks for reminding me about RR! I need to get it out of my pantry, where I will remember to use it! |
That is a great price! I payed nearly twice that at the health food store locally! Nancy |

I use this for Ferdinand with great results. I also used it for myself when I had to go take my insurance license exam. :p I get mine at Sprouts (similar to Wild Oats but larger) for $9.79 |

I never used this before and really don't know anything about it. My one yorkie Pia is a complete wreck in the car. She pants and pants!! Makes me so nervous. My family is 3 hrs away and I dread the Christmas drive home. Do you guys think this would be safe for a 2 lb. yorkie? I'm really nervous to give her anything but I hate seeing her so upset for that long of a trip. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks everyone! |
yes, it is completely safe. There is alot of information online about using it on dogs. I would just use a few drops in the water bowl or a few drops on the tongue before the road trip. On Thanksgiving weekend we drove 5 hours to get away for the weekend, I gave Bailey some the night before in her water bowl because I knew we were leaving first thing in the morning. She slept most of the way, very calm. You can buy it online or at your local healthfood store. |
