Advice on type of harnesses I am looking at this website looking for a safe harness for Siu Pao. I have a step-in harness for him currently which I bought from the groomer (not buddy belt) but he pulls a lot during walks and I am afraid the harness I am using will hurt his neck or chest so I am looking for something safer than that. My question is, he is 7+ pounds and is still growing so I am trying to find out, is there a rule for bigger Yorkie on types of harnesses? Like there is vest harness, dri-fit vest harness, T-harness, which is the safest in terms of not hurting their neck and chest and if they pull hard, will the velcro ever come off? Also looking for the type that I can use during any season. http://go.fetch.home.comcast.net/ |
puppia is my favorite. no velcro and very stylish. it clips on so no worries it will come off. romeo wears them all year. they wash well and i feel they reduce pulling on the neck very well. http://www.ipetconnection.com/Orion_Harness_p/orh01.htm |
bump.anyone else has an opninion? |
The safest type of harness are those that do not have straps that will come in contact with his delicate neck area. The step-in harnesses I make out of Dupioni Silk are incredibly strong, gentle on the hair and best of all, no part of the harness comes into contact with the neck area. |
I make a nice H shaped harness, the velcro will not let go. I have one on my website. I can send you more pictures if you'd like, just PM me. |
