Great place for Bows Who do you recommend? |
I bought a bagful of everyday bows on ebay. |
There is a site called law dog that has adorable bows! |
http://www.lawdogbows.com/ I bought Bella a bunch of bows from the above website. The lady was so nice and they were beautiful. She made them and shipped them very quickly and they came with a cute note on how to do the top knots too. I recommend her as I was very pleased |
If you go to Build a Bear store in the mall you can get them for free. Someone had a thread before about the store, so I went to see if it was true, and sure enough, it was...I think they had 8 different types, and I asked for 2 each. Also, their shirts are really cheap, like $5...and they fit my babies perfectly. |
I would also recomend lawdogbows....she did a wonderful job on my bow..and was excellent with shipping time and confirmation. I also enjoyed the note on top knots... Good luck! |
lily these are great...and they are beautiful wonderful quality, I received 12 a couple weeks ago and the gal is so very sweet and promt in shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...=ADME:B:BN:US:1 Jessie - email gigibows@gmail.com |
do you put the latex rubber bands on? and then the bow? i'm confused lol :D and whats the difference with the size 5/8 and 7/8 or whichever size.. i'm a ditz and don't know.. |
they come with two very small latex rubber bands attached plus she sends extras just in case...they are very strong! I also went to walmart and bought the color dental rubber bands in the pharmacy section they work great and cost about $2.00 or $3.00 for 250 |
my only concern is.. Ginger & Oreo keeping them on! On mother's day, i dressed them up in their cute clothes, i use those claw clips sorta things (which they chewed off each other in minutes and we were fighting each other to give it back  ) .. so i wonder if these bows will stay! i really want to start getting Ginger and Oreo used to these bows although it might be to late lol.. |

I suggest use rubber bands for a bit...so they get used to it being pulled back then after a week or two start out with some cheap walmart bows from the baby section you can get like 6-8 for $2.99... I keep the ones I posted here for good. I usually keep bands in their hair (without bows)unless I am taking them out or going for walks or pics are being taken! |
I would recomend the smaller bows... 5/8...that is what I got and they seem just right in size..and Baby is about 5lbs. |
i use the 7/8"s for the adults and the 5/8"s for the teens |
wow thanks everyone! i will be sure to keep their hairs in a band so they get used to it.. :) those bows are so cute!! thanks for the site by the way! |
I have got mine at the baby section in walmart as well, the only prob is that they are all pastel, I am hopeing for summer they will have some brights, but about 12 for $2 you cant go wrong. I just use the little clear rubber bands to get her hair up and then the bows for picts seeing that somehow she manages to get them off all the time.....she is a rascal. |
do you guys ever feel like your hurting them while putting the rubberbands on? I've done it a few times ... but i'm always feeling bad for her after because it looks like it would hurt. is there a better/easier way of doing it? she's gotten petty good at taking them off too... i think i don't put them on tight enough.. .but it's because i don't want to hurt her. :( |
I try to make them just ight enough but not super tight.......i know the groomer has put them in tighter.......she just likes to weesle around so it is almost impossible to get them in good enough...... but i do think that I may be hurting her.......do other dogs just sit there and let you put them in without hassle? She will let me play with her hair but as soon as the rubber band is spoted it is all over. |
