dog sweater knitting didn't work Well, I took someone's idea and got knitting supplies and decided to try to make some dog sweaters so I could have exactly what I wanted. I love to do crafts, so this idea was fun for me....well...knitting didn't work out so well...and crocheting...um...don't think I'm going to be able to get this. So now I have some pretty yarn and was wondering if there is some easier way or projects I can do with it. I saw something called a kwiknit or something like that and it makes blankets. I wonder if it could make dog sweaters too? suzie |
Sorry, I know NOTHING about arts and crafts/knitting/yarn/ect. But I will BUMP this thread up for you! Maybe someone else will have a good idea of what you can do with all that pretty yarn! :) |
Thanks! I appreciate it. I can't believe the money I have spent since I got my pup and some of it wasted...but I do love and adore him. :-) suz |
You could send me the thread along with your furbaby's measurements and I'd be glad to make one for you. |

I was going to suggest making blankets - or hooking up with someone who knits and have them show you some tricks - my mom knits and can do it with her eyes closed. I'm not kidding either - I've seen her nod off holding her knitting needles lol |

Crocheting is easier than knitting but you should start out doing blankets or scarves. It would be difficult to start right out making a sweater. You have to learn to walk before you can run But crocheting is a great hobby and a relaxing passtime |
i haven't tied to crochet but i do knit. knitting is really easy. it was hard at first but prolly because i tried a bag first. my sugestion would be to try and knit a wash cloth first. i will never suggest making a blacket first because it is long and takes a while. and when you are learning something new you need instant gradifaction!!!:D don't give up! go to knittinghelp and they have free online videos of the basics and some other things you may need to learn. plus its a great forum to ask all the questions you may have. so good luck!!! |
