What kind of harnesses??? I'm sure there are a million harness threads, some of which I've read, but I was wondering what everyone thinks are the best harnesses for our babies? I want one thats comfortable for Cooper yet easy to put on without too many straps etc. Looking for any suggestions or products people have loved. Thanks!! |
There are several members that make harness vests...although I haven't tried them I think they would be best for our little ones...they also have step in harnesses but those can press on their trachea too...I have one and if Sadie pulls when I am walking her she will start to cough...I usually pick her up when this happens.... |
I really like the vest harnesses ut its good to have a regular harness too. On Halloween we had Chachi in his vest harness and we had him on a leash and had the handle of the leash on the bottom of a chair so we could open the door and he couldnt run out. He pulled the d ring right off the vest. I have a step in harness too and thats probably what I should have been using for that |
Are you looking for something cute or something practical? I LOVE Loki's Easy Walk harness. It goes over his head and then straps under the belly. You attach the leash in the front (on the chest) so it discourages pulling. I find that I can still put sweatshirts on him because the clip peeks out just enough. It's super easy because it's only one clip - no arm holes to wrestle with. When Loki grew out of the smallest size, and was too small for the next size up, I actually called the company and they MADE him a custom sized one for $2 more. I love my Puppia Harness vests and my Lil Paws harness that I got from PetSmart. http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...xt=Lil+Paw&N=2 |
I have a step in harness, that is like an oval with a strap that goes between the legs and it snaps together on the back. this one does not cut into their trachea. I also make fabric ones that velcro together. |
thanks all for the suggestions....i have been looking at the puppia harnesses, they look so soft and comfortable. i will keep looking till payday...lol but i think i may go with the puppia harness. |
