airline approved carriers? How do you know if something is airlines approved?? I need to buy a bag for Teddy and I don't know which one to get, can someone help me out? |
The airlines all post their requirements on their websites. I know that the Sherpa carriers are approved by most of the major airlines. They are a little spendy though. Petsmart has them. |
idk but i hope the juicy carriers are airline approved because i just ordered one off of ebay and wanted to take coco with me to PR |
it depends on the airline...but here's what American airlines lists as their requirements: The maximum size for cabin pet carriers is 23" long x 13" wide x 9" high Animals must be able to stand up, turn around and lay down in a natural position in the kennel. Soft-sided pet carriers are accepted as long as they are constructed of water-repellent, padded nylon with mesh ventilation on two or more sides. |
Can't go wrong with a Celltei. I love them. |

I am also a BIG, BIG fan of Celltei!!!! I just flew from TN to WA with Annie in her Celltei. One of the airplanes was really, really small & we had no problem at all with the carrier fitting under the seat. I have mentioned this many times before, I spent 3 years looking for a carrier that would meet my travel needs & compared to other carriers out there Celltei meets them all. Celltei has not dissappointed me yet! BTW I use it every single day. The most important thing is to make sure they have room onboard before you purchase your ticket & that immediately following the purchase of your ticket, you purchase your furbabies spot on the plane. They only allow 2 in cabin. |
I just got this off of Cellteis' website about airline travel with their products. http://www.celltei.com/ai.html |
Go to the airline's website for specific dimensions. |
The Celltai is really cute, I'm flying with Jetblue except not yet cuz I don't know where I'm going I got a free ticket and i have to use it before spring so I just want to buy a carrier in advance...but im going to check with jetblue |
Yes even though I have a couple of really "cute" bags, I will only fly with the Celltei. I have a really neat one for Hailee. It is the camo colored Pet on the Go Bag in size small. She has plenty of room, she is safe and comfortable, the bag has supports so she can't get squashed, plenty of pockets and it is comfortable for me to carry, plus plenty of roomy pockets for airline tickets, cell phone, extra leash, etc. p.s. I got a camo hoodie from GoFetch.com for her to wear, matches her bag...so cute. |

I have a Petflyz carrier and I know it is airline approved. |
I just flew on JetBlue with Kasey last week and used my Sherpa bag. I've found that the Sherpa bag has been acceptable on JetBlue and on Delta. (Kasey seems comfortable in it, too.) Be sure to call the airline and book your pet when you book your own ticket, because they have limits in the numbers of pets they allow onboard each flight.... Good luck! |
