| Shelby&Seymour | 11-05-2006 02:30 AM | Researched and I am back! Checked on the net and went to PetSmart.com There are 3 types of Paw Wax that I found. Shaw's, Musher's, and Excel. The last two were advertised to be good in the winter months. Here is a quote from one of the advertisements.
"8 in 1 Excel Paw Wax Protection-paw protection for a harsh human world. Helps protects and condition dog's paws all year round.
Prevents dog paws damage from gravel, asphalt, ice, snow, salt -treated roads, hot pavement and all hard surfaces.
Provides grip on slippery surfaces" It also listed some testimonials about a dalmation that slipped on some ice and got a spinal injury.... now she uses paw wax ... no more slipping. And also one about a small dog that had rough cracked pads on its feet due to cold ice and salty sidewalks and paw wax not only helped condition them... but now helps keep them in good condition.
You can get the Excel Paw Wax at PetSmart in Lexington Ky.
I think I will give it a try this winter.... but it says that their paws need to be wiped off before coming inside.... it is wax and might not be good for the floors and carpet inside!
Anyone else have anymore info.... let us know.... especially if you have used it in the winter!
Thanks! Kris :animal-pa |
