what do people use for eyes and ears can someone tell me if i should buy ear wipes and eye wipes for my 15 month old yorkie. they are expensive and i do not know what everyone else uses. i do know now i will use unscented baby wipes instead of the very expensive dog wipes. what a rip off ! |

I don't use wipes for anything, I use a damp wash cloth for getting the ick form their eyes off of their faces. I agree those wipes for dogs are way over priced as is anything for pets. I can't see why the unscented baby wipes would not work as well. |
wipes for eyes and ears yes, thats what i thought, just use a wet washcloth and not buy those overpriced wipes. i was looking on www.petedge.com and things are pretty cheap compared to other sites. thanks |
i use warm washcloths and them i use a flea comb to get the gunk out of the eye, works wonders |
You know what I did that pretty much wiped out that prob was to take hair scissors and I just kept cutting that area of her eye fur until I did not see anymore staining. You just have to be careful. My vet said I would have to wait until I took her to the groomer and he would shave that part of her fur down. I couldn't wait. No matter how much I wiped that area or tried to keep it clean she always looked gross. I just cut it perpendicular to her nose. She still looks cute and nobody knows the better! Hope that helps. I agree there are soooooooo many products you can use that are people products that are so much cheaper. We use the lavender scented Pampers Baby Wipes and the Lysol Disinfectant wipes for her kennel! |
