Chris Christensen New Fusion Brush - Have you tried this new product? Hi, After reading so many great reviews from you about using Chris Christensen brushes, I am ready to order. I see they now carry a new brush, Fusion. Have any of you tried this brush and if so, do you think it is worth the extra $$ for this brush? Otherwise, I was just going to order the Gold 20M pocket size brush which is a little less expensive. I have never tried any of CC products, but also want to try the Ice on Ice and Day to Day shampoo for my little luv. My Tasha is not a show dog, just a much loved 1 year old baby:love: . But I want to buy what is best for her. I just love reading all about your Yorkies and have received so much help from you. Thank you Joyce |
I have not seen the Fusion brush but I am going to get the 20 m brush because it looks like the smallest they have. Their brushes all look so large |
The only place where I have seen them for sale is at the CC web site-www.chrisstystems.com. The brush I would like is $40 and wonder if the Gold would do just as good a job? I was just listening to a dvd on Yorkie grooming and the goomer stated she had a CC brush that has lasted her for years. Then I got to thinking, if a professional has used the Gold series and has been good for her, then maybe I just don't need to spend the extra $$ on the new Fusion Brush. I just haven't heard any reviews on the new brush and would really like to before I order a brush. The Fusion are made of solid brass and are static free. Do you know if the Gold series is static free? Joyce |
I dont know but that Fusion brush sounds good i am going to look it up |
Wow i just looked it up. $50 bucks for the 20 mm one. It better be good for that. i might order that for Jewels she always has static |
I don't have my baby yet, but am starting shopping for the essentials......I will check the brush out. Would love to hear more about it. |
I ordered the brush directly from CC (Gold Series, 20 mm)about two weeks ago and have to say, although it is nice, my Cookie does not like it any more than her old one so I can not say I like it one way or the other, I was like you and wanted the best for my baby once I read all the great reviews. She has a habit of biting the brushwhile I brush her (she is almost 6 months and teeting) and still does the same thing..I feel better knowing it doesn't hurt her skin in any way. Where did you order the Yorkie grooming DVD and would u say its worth it? Trinity (Cookie's Mommy):animal-pa |
Hi Trinity, I ordered the dvd from ebay. I have just watched part of it so far, it has 153 minutes of instructions. What I have watched so far has been excellent. I wished I had watched it when Tasha was a younger as I would not have cut her hair by her eyes. She said once it has been cut, it always need to be cut. Woops, too late, I already had cut it. She is a professional groomer with years of experience and gives a lot of helpful advice. She grooms 3 individual Yorkies each with a different hair cut. If you are interested, just do a search on ebay, "Yorkie dog grooming instructional dvd yorkshire terrier" I paid $35 and feel it was well worth it. Joyce |
Eye hair "She said once it has been cut, it always need to be cut. " I did the same thing some time back. Our breeder told us to use a very small dab of gel to hold it up and away from her eyes while it grew back. We're up to an inch or so and growing like crazy. If you want to let it grow back out just be patient, it will catch up. |
Thank you so much for the dvd information, who is the person doing the video? Oh my gosh, I have just cut the hair on Cookie's nose as it was covering her eyes so what you are saying is that I will always have to cut it now? ARGH |
I have found the DVD on ebay and just ordered it, thanks for the information, I was scared to bring cookie to the groomer and now feel confident that I can trim her hair myself.. Thanks again..hopefully its shipped quickly |
Besure and let me know how you like the dvd and how well you did with cookies hair cut. I received my order from her quite fast. I notice that she also has a dvd on making bows, I imagine that would also be really good to get. Right now I have a good selection of beautiful bows that I had also ordered on ebay from different ones. Just a couple of weeks ago, I did have a groomer who has a mobile unit that comes right to the house groom Tasha. She did an ok job, but I guess I am just too picky on how I want her done. After reading so many bad experiences at the groomers, I decided to learn how to do Tasha myself. Hopefully with the dvd I will be able to quickly learn how it is done. I now just need to practice and learn how. Joyce |
I am excited to get it and will definately let you know how it goes..Cookie is due for a haircut soon so I can't wait to try it out..I will wait till it arrives to get it..As for us, the breeder does grooming and I LOVE the way it was cut but the only dilema we have is that, when we got Cookie she had to be treated for earwigs and kennel cough so I don't want to bring her back there just in case and its too bad cause her hair style is so cute, she does really good work.. Let me know if you got the bow one and if so, how it is! I just ordered PJ's for Cookie as I want to learn how to make her a bunch of them and needed a pattern to go off of... Thank you again, truly appreciate it... Trinity |
I think I will wait a while before ordering the bow dvd because I have a good selection of bows right now. Trinity what are earwigs? I don't blame you for not wanting to be treated for kennel cough. I had another yorkie that received the kennel cough shot and then developed kennel cough and had to be treated. After that I make sure they never get the kennel cough shot nor go anywhere where it is required. I would love to see a picture of Cookie with her new PJ's. Does she wear them to bed every night? I live in Florida, where it is too warm for Tasha to wear clothes. But when winter comes she can wear light weight clothing. She has just a couple of cute coats. I am so excited, I just ordered the new cc fusion brush, cc shampoo and cc ice on ice. I finally found a place where the prices are at a discount and the shipping was very resonable-www.needsndesires.com. Can't wait till my order comes and get a chance to try them out. I also ordered a couple of toys for Tasha, she loves to play with soft toys and she usually is carrying one around in her mouth. :) Joyce |
After you get your order please post and let us know if you like the brush. I have the day to day shampoo and the ice on ice and the ice on ice works really good I didn't care much for the shampoo but that just me. I really want to get one of the brushes. Summer hates to be brushed. |
Hey.. I have some PJ's on order now but I am dying to receive them and the minute she gets them, I will post a picture for you..I also placed a large order for a bunch of other clothes and we received them last week and although a few are a little too big, I will for sure be mending them but she has a new turtle neck sweater that she is wearing to a cottage party this weekend, she looks like a doll in them... As for CC, I do have the brush and ordered the day to day shampoo and conditioner and although it worked fine, I honestly found 'no more tears" children's shampoo with Aussi 3 minute repair seemed to work the best.. Let us know how you like the brush...And wow how lucky are you to live in Florida... Trinity |

Have you got your fusion brush yet and do you like it? |
When you get your brush in will you let me know how you like it please. :) |
I have the pocket size fusion brush and I do like it. I cannot tell you if it is better than the less expensive gold series because I do not have one of those. I don't know if it is really worth the $50 but it is a good brush. :) |
Thanks I really want to get one of the brushed but I just don't want to spend that much so I keep putting it off. |
I had forgot to let you know after ordering the CC Fusion Gold brush and using it how I liked it. I can't say that I think it is worth the extra $$ it cost, but I know it will last for many years and I will not need to replace it. (I hope anyway.) But I really do like the CC Ice on Ice and would order this again. What I use more than the CC brush is an untangler comb with rotating teeth. Tasha doesn't mind having her hair combed with this comb, but she really doesn't like being brushed with the brush. The untangler comb really works great for getting out tangles etc. I know other really like the CC brush, but this is just my experience. |

I purchased it from PetEdge, a catalog that sells pet supplies. I had heard you could also buy them from Sally's Beauty Supply, but the one in my town did not have it so I just ordered it from PetEdge. |
i bought 2 CC brushes and 2 CC combs this weekend at the dog show,, and I am ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED!!!! I honestly didnt see how much of a difference there could be in a comb,, its AMAZING!!! I got the CC Buttercomb 006 and the CC rattail buttercomb 008,,i still cant get over the difference!!!! truly amazing!! and as for the brushes,, i got the CC Fusion Brass 27 and the CC 27 gold wonderbrush (small pocket brush) both are terrific!! the Fusion brush i used on Cricket dry,, just to see,, where her coat normally FLIES like crazy,, it brushed,, smoothed,, perfectly placed, i am SO pleased they are costly,, but I dont plan on loosing them,, i use them at home and have a doggie cabinet to keep em in,, so i think they are worth the money for me and mine! I recommend them highly! IMHO:thumbup: |
