free standing dog gates i am interested in buying a free standing dog gate, I think they look better than the regular ones, but they are sooo expensive! http://www.petedge.com/shopping/prod...ProductID=5312 Does anybody here have them or know of a place where I can get them cheaper? |
Do you need a really wide one like that? I know there are some that go in doorways but do not require mounting. You just push a lever down and they press tightly against the doorway on both sides so it won't fall down. I know you can get those at Walmart. Also don't limit yourself to "dog gates" or "pet gates." You can find a lot of great gates that are marketed at "baby" gates or "toddler" gates. |

I have a free standing pet gate that is wood frame with metal bars. I do like it, but it was expensive. When I got mine I paid 150.00 as I got the larger expanding size. I have since seen them on Elitepetstore.com for less. Hope this helps. |
wow that gate is nice. I can't imagine spending that much though. |
It's just make of wroght iron. If you took a picture of it to someone who does welding, they could make it for you, and then you just paint it. It is a nice looking gate. I have an expen across my door way. But you have given me an idea. I like the looks of that one a whole lot better. |

I just hate the look of the plastic ones. Our house is all decorated in dark wood, modern asian style so the plastic gate sticks out and i don't want to have to take it in and out...lazy me... |
