Dingo bones? Does anybody give their dogs dingo bones? They are little bones with pork meat in the middle and wrapped in a pork hide. Chachi and Jewels love them. I just wondered how safe they are |
They where Rosi's best friend when little. She was and is not a gulper, and i just watch her close, when i would see her take it apart i will take and toss it. Just today i gave Poli one to try and he liked it, but allways wants the one Rosi has, lol. |
Cali likes those but also only chews on them and doesn't eat them. I replace frequently. |
My dogs love Dingo bones. I often wonder how safe they are also. I do try to watch them when they have them. I use to give them greenies but quit after the posts on this board |
Baby LOVES them. She was just chewing on one a few minutes ago. I know some people do not give their furbabies rawhide, but I do. I just watch her like a hawk. ;) |
try munchy sticks - cheap less than a buck romeo luvs dingos. i watch him too. when they get small i trash them. he also luvs dingo munchy sticks. i give them to him when i leave 4 work. i don't worry he will choke on these. they break up easily. http://www.qualitydogtreats.com/db-22040.html |

I definitely hear ya on that one!! |
i hear ya too! they will never go hungry! lol... i wish someone worried about my people treats! i haven't food shopped in 2 weeks , but i'm well stocked with at least 10 types of doggie treats! |
My parents bought the little ones for Rocky, and he was taking his time chewing the meat out of it. We brought the Boxer Gizmo out and he wanted one, and we gave him one and he swallowed it whole w/ in 3minutes!!! We were shocked, and here's Rocky still taking his sweet time. I've heard rawhide is bad for dogs, so I'm kinda nervous to see how he'll be after swallowing it whole, but he eats everything else and has been fine, so hopefully this will be the case. |
I know everyone has their opinions, but I do not give rawhides (or greenies) anymore. My vet did not recommend rawhides (dingos), so that was it for me. Plus, Mojo had some sort of blockage (he is not a gulper either) and I took every treat and food that he ate in to the vet, to get approval. Never found out what caused the blockage - thankfully it worked out on it's own after a week on IV fluid. We always watched him eat, but occassionally, you can't help but miss a small piece or something, and that small piece might be enough to cause some harm. Just my thoughts and my experience. BUT, you are the mom and you know your Yorkie better than anyone else! You use what you feel comfortable with! |
