Merrick Flossies wholesale? ;) A couple of month ago I ordered 50 6-8" flossies from Amazon.com for $72, which I thought was a really good deal. Unfortunately they don't have that deal anymore so I was wondering if anyone here knew a place where you can buy flossies in bulk for that prize. Thanks, Anita |
i'd be interested in wholesale too. you got a good deal.:aimeeyork |
Romeos mommy, I just found an even better deal at dogs.com! There you can buy 50 6-8" flossies for $56.50! :D That's for sure the best deal I have seen- ever! If you just google flossies everyone else is selling 50 for $100 and over. Hah, my babies are going to be so happy.... |
What's the difference? Could someone please inform me the difference between "flossies" and "bully sticks"... okay wait, before ya tell me what "bully sticks" are, I know, I know, it's a gross bull penis! I just recently did a thread post after googling bully sticks! Boy was I shocked, and those silly furkids love them even. When I looked on ebay, the pic of a flossie wasn't very clear, just looked like a curly peice of plastic or something. |
I have thought about buying that bulk lot at dog.com...but was wondering if Cooper would tire of them after awhile. He does love them now, but he seems to tire of certain treats after a time. Anyone's dog tire of the flossies..or as we call them around here at our house "Curlies" ?? |
I already purchased flossies in bulk before and was also worried if the guys would get tired of it. What I would do is vary it every other day -give them the bully sticks on day, take it away and give chicken strips, take it away and give flossie, etc. That kept the excitement going... Here is a picture as well as description of a flossie...my dogs just love, love, love them. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=284507 |
The price on www.dog.com is great if you buy that many. The flossies are one of Jaxon's new favs (thanks Hallie & Simon!!). If anyone near New England wants to split an order, let me know!! Probably would still be cheaper to re-ship a portion. |
Is it safe to give flossies to a 6 month puppy? |
sure, I'd just watch when it becomes really small, after lot's of chewing, and then take it away. I think it's especially beneficial to a 6 month old since he's probably teething. Enjoy! Quote:

Yes, she is teething and I bought two flossies and was afraid to give it to her because of the posts regarding rawhide and greenies. I just gave it to her and tried to take it away and she hid it in her favorite spot. Waited for me to walk away and she is chewing away. She has been a nightmare with the teething. Hope this keeps her busy. |
Flossies are absolutely safe as they are made of beef tendon and they are good for the teeth and help with the cleaning. If you look up an earlier posting of mine you can click on the link or go to Merrick's web site for the exact ingredients. The only reason why I said to take it away when it get's small is so that she doesn't accidentally swallow a large piece, that's all. I should get paid to be the Floosies spokesperson...lol I don't mean to butt in and you probably know this already but if she isn't loosing all the baby teeth you may need to get them pulled. Quote:

Yes, she had 4 pulled, she lost all the other ones. She was spayed last week and they pulled them while she was under. Today, she got her stiches removed and I gave her a flossie as a treat and believe me, she is loving it. Thanks for all the info and I am always open for advice from YT members. This my first dog and I have learned so much through YT. Thanks again. |
I guess they don't have the bulk for flossies anymore, I couldn't find it, plus I'm not sure how I feel after finding out that flossies and bully sticks are made from the same bull part :( (that's from another YT thread)....hmmmm |
