Question on the harness vests??? My gizmo is a puller when he walks we have been using a regular harness but I would like to get him a harness vest for the 4th of july. I am afraid that with him pulling the velcro will let loose and he will be gone. What do you do use the regular harness under the cloth one? Dose anyone else have a baby that pulls when you walk and what did you do? Thanks |

I do have a step-in harness that is buckled from the back and just as good. Depending on your baby, I have a hard time putting them on my furkids so I prefer the velcro type. Either option should be a safe one. |
I usually use a step in but Gracie does have several harness dresses and a harness coat. She is 8 lbs and a big time puller and I've never had any problems. The velcro is really secure. |
I started using extra wide velcro for even more security. The velcro if closed correctly holds very strong! Make sure you have no hair in the way and that it is on target. Wash with the velcro closures together to prevent lint build up which diminishes the bond. |
Tucker is a 10 pound puller! His vest from Tiger's Mom is unbelievably secure! I can't say what other companies have, but I'm sure the go.fetch vests are the best you can buy! |
Harness Vest with Snaps I was concerned when I starting making harness vests. I have a puller and while the ones with velcro seem secure, I wanted something more secure. Bloomingtails's harness vest can be made with snaps that are attached with a vise we bought for that purpose. For pullers, I use four on the band under the belly and two at the neck. |
My yorkie wears the harness vest with velcro and believe me it is secure. There is no way she could get out of it. I wondered the same thing before I received it in the mail. I absolutely love these little harness vests. I will probably get one for the fourth also. |
we use a velcro harness and are very happy. he has never gotton lose even when the velcro starts to wear out. i have one from tiger's mom (above post). she does very good work and the velcro is strong. i also have a puppia harness which is very similiar, but had a clip thingy that holds it instead of velcro. http://www.ipetconnection.com/Puppia_Harness_p/sh01.htm |

I don't do this unless it is requested because most of the dogs i make clothing for are 10lbs or less my girl is 16lbs. don't be afraid just ask the person to double up on the velcro and maybe try webbing for you. thanks Melinda Little www.sassy-petwear.com |
I use the "puppia vest harness" because those have a buckle and that makes me feel more comfortable when walking my doggies. |
