a safer flea & tick squeeze on i was searching for a less toxic topical flea/tick prevention and saw this product. i have not tried it yet, but thought i would share it with you. it's a 3 month supply for only $12.99! and made with natural oils like peppermint oil, lemon grass oil and thyme oil. it's called sentry natural defense. http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/produc...D-95E0DFCB299E |
Please tell us how well this works! I would be really interested in this product. My furbabes are mostly inside but since we live out on 5 acres of country settings, they still get fleas. :( So if this works, even just a little it is probably better than putting Frontline on.( which is what I use) but doesn't even last the full month and it is expensive that I don't like to use it too much. Thanks and keep us posted! |
has anybody tried this? |
i just bought it @ petsmart. i'll let ya know how it is. |
I would like to know also.I am a health nut so anything natural is great, but sometimes they do not work as well or as long,or take longer to take effect. |
I tried it both dogs still had fleas and my house smelled for like a day and half really strong and everyone had headaches. Not that everyone will get headaches but the smell wasn't to pleasant. |

I bought some natural soap at a craft fair that is suppose to repel fleas/ticks. The lady got aggravated with me because I kept asking about how well it worked, how long it took to take effect, if it dried out their hair, etc. Boy, I bet she hated me. In fact, she went to help someone else, and I finished my transaction with her husband. The ingredients were much like the treatment posted above. I haven't used it, but it is REALLY strong (and it hasn't been used it). I figured, I would just use it on my big outdoor dogs.....BUT still use their treatment too.......course, this will all wait until spring! |
i just applied it. the smell is strong , but i like the smell. kind of like essential oils. |
I used it on my dogs too and it didn't seem to help at all with the fleas and ticks. The smell was pretty strong but I liked it.:p In fact I still have a couple of tubes of the stuff and was thinking of tossing it out. |
romeo doesn't have fleas or ticks. it's just preventative. i'm mad because i used a whole tube and it wasn't drying. when i called the 800 number they said i should have only used half. but the directions said for under 15lbs use an entire tube. i had to rinse it off. he was like an oil slick. |
When I started using it my dogs didn't have fleas or tick either. I was using it as a preventitive to and then they all got fleas and ticks by the thousands. I was a really bad infestation. I was really upset and continued to use the product and treat house, dog, yard, vehicle for the infestation when I finally got it under control the stuff still wasn't helping on my dogs. I have gone back to using the k-9 advantix (although Kitty still has some fleas and ticks after using that for the last 2 months.):( |
I am glad I use front line never had a problem with fleas or ticks. |
