Eye Envy did NOT work for us :thumbdown :( Well I ordered Eye Envy because it was the one product that I heard had the best results. By what I read I would say that 7 out of 10 customers loved the product. I ordered it and paid like $22 including shipping. I would shake as per instructions, pour on a cotton ball until very wet and wipe on her tearstains until it was very absorbed on the hair. I repeated this 3-4 times a day from the 13th of this month until the 22nd of this month. So I used it constantly for 9 days. To be honest I have noticed a very ,very minor difference on the tearstains, like 15% improvement. So for us I would have to say it did not work as I expected. Someone told me that I had to buy the powder also but that I should deffinately see a good difference withjust the liquid. Now I am just skeptical to buy the powder also so I will try that powder that you can buy at any pharmacy to clean dentures? It's a whitener and some Maltese owners have said that it works. So I'll try this since it's affordable and post on my results... Genie :thumbdown |
I'm sorry to hear the Eye Envy did not work. I have never tried Eye Envy, but bought Diamond Eyes from my vet for my Chanel and it works very well  |
:thumbdown So far I haven't found anything that works on my maltese. I have even done the poroixide and it didn't help. |
Have you tried angel glow or angel eyes? I have been hearing lots of stuff about those products. |
I tried Eye Envy on Twinkie with the powder & I didn't think it worked that great. I paid a lot of money for it an now I don't bother with it anymore. Just a face cloth and warm water to clean her eyes - it does nothing for the stains but whatever, I don't wanna waste any more money on products that don't work... |
What's Eye Envy  |
It's a liquid that you pour on a cotton ball and wipe your dog's tearstains . You repeat it at least 3 times a day and suppose to see results in as little as a few hrs. Genie |
I think i mentioned this on another forum, but tear stains can be controlled very little by external factors and more so from what your pup is eating (which food), the treats, their water etc. This is why several ppl have been seeing results with the angel eyes. |
I have a friend who swears by eye envy for her poodle but she said it is 3 steps. I am not familiar with it personally at all but maybe there is another step that makes the difference? |
I use it on Chanel and love it...after a few days the tear stains are gone..since she spends lots of time racing the fence - she gets a little dirty and it makes the stains very dark and after a few days use...GONE. Maybe it just doesn't work as well on Maltese faces ? With them being white I would try the powder....maybe they'll send you some to try since you're dissapointed ? |

I just ordered this new stuff, if it works anything like their shampoo I will be one happy camper. I should have it in a day or two and let you know in about a week. I never did follow through with the polident, I was worried about it getting in Tiki's eyes. http://malteseonly.com/cart/product_...6a835b945af59c |

I also bought the oatmeal shampoo, and I use it on my Yorkies, and there are no more knots or matts in their hair at all. This one is also runny, so I bought a different color squirt bottle for each shampoo. It also smells really good, very faint smell, so it is great. I wash my malt's face with baby shampoo, but I put a small amount on her tear stains, and it seems to work for me. Some people say you have to give them distilled water to prevent tear stains, but I don't. She drinks regular tap water. It isn't cheap, but it is worth the money. I think I paid somehting like 35 dollars for both shampoo's and conditioner, including shipping. I used it one time, and my hubby noticed a difference as soon as he came home. |
I used Eye Envy and it worked for us. sorry it didn't work for you. |

Your Maltease baby is sooooo cute! |
I totally agree with the White on White Shampoo! I agree 100% on their White On White shampoo. It leaves Lola really bright white. I bathe her weekly but I use the White On White every other week ,for weekly baths I use one from Petedge that is called Baby Powder Scent . Then I spray LOTS and LOTS Ice On Ice. It does really work but you have to put ALOT!! After her hair is dry I spray it on her again and work it in with my fingertips and then brush and lightly blowdry it for another minute or so. After reading about so many good results with Eye Envy. I decided to get their starter kit which brings everything and its a 3 week supply. Powder, Liquid and pads. I'm gonna get a small eyebrow brush and work it in with that. I only used the liquid and did not see great results and another mistake I made!!! I did NOT refrigerate it :( So I guess within 48 hrs it was spoiled . I called them and asked how long would the liquid last if it was not refrigerated and they told me like 2 days. Mine turned into a thick liquid. So maybe this is why I did not see results! I feel terrible now! I should be getting it tomorrow or Thursday. I will start a new thread as soon as I use it on Lola again. I ordered a brush from Chris Christensen ,the pocket brush #27. I love it I've used it for the past two days. I will have more time to dedicate to her daily brushing after my family goes back home. I have family here on vacation... Genie,Cookie & Lola |
Surfie and Tiki, and ladyt thank you so much!! I love to hear that my babies are cute!! I know I didn't have a hand in how cute they are, but it makes me happy anyway!!! |
Worked for Man-Tou Luckily, it worked well for Man-Tou. You probably need to use both the solution AND the powder. |
