Lookout Car Seat
 
I am looking to purchase a Lookout Car Seat for my babies. I have made this decision after reading several of ya'lls threads regarding transporting your furbabies in the car (thank you). In doing my search for a carseat tho I have found the prices vary from 49.99 - 159.99 and appreciate your help/suggestions on where you purchased yours from and how much you paid. I don't want a cheap car seat but I don't want to pay the high end price if I can get the same thing for half the price.

Your comments are appreciated.

I just thought of something........this is going to make a total of 6 carseats in my car! Phew, glad I have a BIG SUV. :D

Hi Courtney,

I have a lookout console car seat but good only for 1 that goes on my SUV. It was "gently" used when I got it but looks brand new really. I am so happy with it and Tiger must too as he never tried to get out of it. The owner had to give it up as her puppy was just too big for it. I got it on ebay for only $30.00, shipping included :thumbup: :thumbup: .

Make sure you check out ebay as they always have great prices . . .

I would love to see Bailey and Morgan when I visit Seattle end of May.

Hello all and thank you for your comments. Des.....can you tell me more about the console carseat? Does it sit on the arm rest between the two front seats with straps that go around both front seats also or does it latch into the passenger seat. I'm confused. I have never actually seen one in person so am unsure how they work. Also, do they make a console one for 2 dogs, or at least that holds up to 12 lbs. Sorry for all the questions, and anyone can feel free to answer.

Courtney, search this thread "Tiger shows off his new console Lookout Carseat" as I have 4 photos of Tiger in it. It actually sits on the console, in between the seats. We got it with no directions but my hubby decided to secure it to the console itself and it does feel very stable.

I like it because Tiger's face is leveled with mine so I can easily smother him with hugs and kisses when I am at a stoplight :rolleyes: .

I have a Lookout Console Carseat. It has a strap that hooks under the console lid and then two others that go around the metal hinge of each seat. I'm not positive but 12 lbs might be too much for even the largest console seat. The largest I've seen holds up to 8 pounds. I could be wrong though.

Yeah the consoles cant hold as much.

This is what I found regarding the lookout and lookout 2 console. Since some think 12 lbs. is too much I'd be interested in knowing if anyone uses this console for up to it's 18 lbs capasity as stated.

I have the My Buddy Lookout carseat & its awesome! I don't know if you have more than 1 dog or not though. But if so, this one is great! We just got back from a 4 hour trip & they had plenty of room to sleep & turn around. :thumbup:

Shana (or anyone) - does the Buddy Lookout car seat have 2 straps to snap to 2 different harnesses? For example, if I have 2 babies in the Buddy lookout, will their harnesses be snapped to 2 different straps? That is a hard question to ask, but I think you know what I mean. :confused:

The one that I bought came w/ 2 straps. :)

Yes it can have 2 strap :)

I actually just bought the lookout console from DaisyMae23 (thank you). She bought it and her baby didn't fit in it so I offered to pay for it what she did. I am interested in knowing how you go about buying the second strap........Shana??

Sorry about that, I am buying stuff from both you and Daisey Mae's Mom and can't keep you both straight. I am so excited to get my carseat for my baby!
