Harness Suggestions I really need a good harness for a puppy who is now about 3 lbs. Thank you all for your input. |
I found one for puppies on Ebay. Barkatme was the seller and is also a yorkietalk member. You can probably do a search of that member and find her site. |

I want this harness that uses velcro to secure it to his body but it is a bit pricey. It is by Clawk and Dawgger (sp?) . . . Since Tiger is only 4 months old, I am waiting until he is full grown before I spend on it. In the meantime I am very happy with the harness that Walmart sells for only $3.00plus. |
Tiger's mom- I actually have 2 cloak and dawggie harnesses that have been sitting her since I no longer have my website that are for sale for $18. PM me if interested. |
I like Gooby's soft suede harness & leash...many colors....about 24.99. |
I love the Buddy belt. I use vests and dresses with leash clips a lot but I like the Buudy Belt when not using clothes because it is flat and not uncomfortable. Fits to the dog's body.http://www.metropawlispetboutique.com/buddy_belt.html |
I have some cute Velcro Harness on my site www.******************.com They are easy to use and are secure for walking at the same time.. No shipping costs either..:) |
1 Attachment(s) Below is a picture of the one Tatum has. I got it at Petedge.... http://www.petedge.com/shopping/prod...ctID=1270&AS=1 Here's another link I found just by doing a google search for "step-in harness"... http://fleameds.com/index.asp?PageAc...TS&Category=11 I absolutely love it compared to the regular harnesses. SO easy to put on! |
i got 4 or them from petedge. leashes and matching stepin harnesses. i just love stepins,,, very easy, no fuss.. |
I also use the step in kind. I only put them on just before going out, then take them off. Easy to use. they raise their "hands" to put them in. It is so cute. |

I got a very nice step in harness at: http://cetaceacorp.com/pets/products/stepin.html Ordered on a Thursday, had it on the following Monday via FedEx. I purchased the teacup size for my 4 pound dog. I also bought the matching leash. :) Much easier and quicker to get on than the other nylon harness I had that had to be adjusted every time. Whenever our Brownie sees the harness, he comes running - he loves going out and seems very comfortable in it. |
Thanks Guys!!! These are some really good links for small dog stuff. I need to get Oscar one of those step in harnesses because he just hates the one we have that goes over his head...he fights like crazy when we are taking it off...I don't take it off really...I just hold the harness and he bucks and kicks until it comes off...LOL...there is no controlling this boy! I know he would enjoy the step in better. I want to make him a fleece one...I bet it would be comfy! |
2 Attachment(s) I use a custom-made harness because I couldn't find one I liked that fit my girls well. They are step in and I picked the colors out of a selection she had...I love them! They are SO easy to get in and out of, and they were a really reasonable price, $12 I think! And she made them based on our measurements. Here is her ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/Park-Place-Pa...QQftidZ2QQtZkm |
Someone who was used as a reference told me that she uses these harness and they are great! I am ordering two (they also have matching hats if you are into that), but the website is www.udogu.com. Apparently, the person who is marketing these created them for his Yorkie which he was also having trouble with harnesses. These harnesses do not cause any tracheal problems. |
