Bluebells | 12-01-2020 11:17 AM | I haven’t used one myself. However, I’m involved in rescue, and rescue people “compare notes,” so I’ve heard a lot about them. The biggest factor in determining their effectiveness, from what I’ve heard, is whether the puppies to be contained are chewers. A chewer can destroy a soft sided playpen very quickly. However, if you have a puppy who isn’t a chewer but is a climber, a soft sided playpen with an enclosed top can keep that puppy contained better than a hard sided, open topped playpen.
Bottom line, if you’re thinking of getting one for a future puppy, you ought to wait until you actually choose a puppy and evaluate his/her behavior ... rather than waste a fairly substantial $ investment on a big and temporary chew toy. |
