Buddy belt harnesses Hi, I just ordered a buddy belt for my lulu and hoping it fits and we like it. Have been through a few harnesses and have been looking for a few weeks. I have read many positive posts on here about the bb so I'm looking forward to receiving it. I ordered it thru wfieldsforpets.com. This is my first post, so I apologize if I'm doing it wrong. |
Hi and WELCOME to YT :)! I really think you will love the BB - it's SUCH high quality and so great looking. At the vet office, we always get compliments on it. It's just really attractive. And you cannot go wrong in any way by ordering from Kristin/Wfields - she is top notch! |
LOVE The buddy belts...I always used puppia for my little girl but recently switched to buddy belts bc my boy has a big head and small torso lolol. they are sooooo easy and safe and adorable. Kristin is awesome!!!! |
That's great! Thanks for the input! I'll post again after we use it! |
I also have the Puppia for Gidget. It's so easy to get on but getting it off is a little struggle. Am considering order the BB when she is a year old. She's 6 months now and weighs 3 1/2 lbs so don't think she'll get much bigger but will wait for a few months to invest in the BB. |
Hi. Ella is fully grown and weighs just under 3-1/2 pounds and is very fine boned but taller then my 4 pound 6 month old Yorkie. Strangely, I like the way the size 2.5 fits her pulled to the smaller holes rather then the size 2 with only 2 holes left. |
Oh yes, the BB is the way to go. The 2.5 size is a great size for just about any Yorkie. There are several buckle holes that it can be adjusted for several years. Kristen is the best. So very helpful. Her knowledge is wonderful, and so very nice. |
My little girl has a very broad chest, and she is at the upper end of the breed standard in size. She wears a 3.5 Buddy Belt on almost the last hole when her hair is cut shorter. It would appear that a size 3 would be better, but Katie has a very thick, silky coat, and her size 3 Buddy Belts are too tight on her. She also does fine with size 4, particularly when she wears a sweater or coat. Buddy Belts are very adjustable, and I love that about them. They are also very safe and so easy to put on and off. The leather on them is really nice, and they wear beautifully. Kristin is the best! All of the Buddy Belts I've purchased were from her. |

Kristin has amazing customer service. she's the best! |
My yorkie is 6 lbs 8 oz. What size BB do y'all recommend? |
1 Attachment(s) It really depends on chest circumference. Here is a chart. They really are wonderful, and the best person to purchase them from is Kristin, YT member Maximo. She is extremely helpful, and she has an admirable character and great customer service. The link below is her website. W. Field's Dog Boutique: Designer Dog Clothes and Accessories |
I just got Buddybear one in a 3.5 as his chest was just under 14 inches after being groomed and. His buckles in the center hole. Hopefully this winter with a sweater on it will still fit. He weighs about 8.6 pounds.:animal-pa |
The buddy belt is great! We got this for my puppy because when we first got her, she really hated anything around her neck, and I heard how they can really hurt themselves if they pull. She didn't really understand the leash very well... anyway, its been great! It's adorable, compact, fits really well and best of all she doesn't mind it at all! |
I love Buddy Belts too. Kristin is great at recommending the correct size and her customer service is above and beyond any other. |
Luli, how did this work out for you? I've purchased two for our puppy, who is coming home this week, and I'm really curious to see how you liked yours. |
