Best spray for dog My dog keeps eating my cats poop. I don't have anywhere else to put the little box or a higher place to put it. Is there a spray I can put on the poop that really works in keeping my dog from eating it? |
I've never heard of any spray. The only solution I know of is that you make it inaccessible. |
See if any of these work: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...g%20cat%20poop I have heard some success with the food additives, but have no idea which ones. Can your kittie litter go on top of your clothes dryer? |
I bought an extra large little box with a top on it. It came with a door that the cat can push through to go in and out. My little one stays away from it although I think most dogs are attracted to cat poo for some reason. We got our litter box from the online Walmart site. We couldn't find one big enough in the stores. There are also sprays that are supposed to keep pets away from certain areas...like gardens, furniture, etc. Don't know how well they work though. |
I meant to type "litter" box. I really need to proof read more! |
We use a Rubbermaid type box that is about a foot high, and we keep it in a closet in the laundry room with sliding doors that we keep cracked open for the cats. Until recently, we only had our golden retriever, but he was notorious for getting in the litter box. This has worked to keep him out. I think the box should work to keep out our little Yorkie too, but she's only 11 weeks right now. Also, I find that the area stays much cleaner with the bigger, deeper box. With the traditional litter pans, they would throw litter everywhere. |
