Need car seat recommendation I have 3 car seats currently but 2 will not work for a small Yorkie -they can't see out the window. 1 I have is okay but it has collapsible side flaps/legs that I don't like. I don't know if there is something new out there that I may not be aware of and/or one that you have found that is perfect for our little ones. Thank you. |
Ooooo.......great question....I am looking as well. |
Car seats Snoozer seats are great and you can get different sizes that would fit multiple dogs. They are so comfy and solid and are kept in place by the car seat belt. They have a tether for safety, I think I got it as an extra?? My 10 LB dog can easily see out, but you can always put a pillow etc under the Snoozer seat to raise it up more. Can get good prices if you look around the web. Good hunting :) |
I have Snoozer as well and love it! both of mine are 5lbs each and can see out, they both love it too, room for both to lay down and sleep as well. :) |
1 Attachment(s) Cody is adopted, he was not use to being in cars, he would get car sick every time. I got him a booster seat that is completely suspended OFF the passenger seat. There is a strap that goes around the head rest and one goes around the back of the seat. It has a tether for safety and can be adjust for height. Cody is a big boy at 12 lbs, so I got him a size large so he can lay down for naps. He can see out of the window, he has never gotten sick since we has this seat. Name of booster seat at Pet supplies. Tagalong Pet Booster large size holds up to 18 Lb dog. Basket dimensions: 16” W x 14”D x 8” H.They have sizes small and medium. Cost is under $30. |
I made mine with 4 to 5 in foam. Cut out the pieces glue together. cover it with fabric and seat belted it in I tether Bella to the car not the car seat I made. That way she has the protection of the car if we were in a crash. |
Car seat Great idea! Safe too. Hoping Bella spends many happy hours in it. :) |
