Snoozer Kelsey vs Jaraden Soho review 3 Attachment(s) I have a barely 7lb yorkie and I needed a cross body carrier. I can't carry bags on one arm and it's hard to find cross body carriers so my choices were limited. I started with the Soho, when Lola was closer to 5lbs and I didn't think she'd get bigger. She still fits in it, but can't be shut in it and getting her head in and out of the head hole can be difficult (I have to unzip from the back). It really is a beautiful bag, but the size wasn't great for Lola and it's very heavy. I decided to give the Kelsey bag a try, overall I'm happy with it, most of my complaints are fixable or cosmetic. The bags are similar in size, the main difference is the height of the dog compartment. Lola likes both bags. I wouldn't recommend the Kelsey for a dog more than MAYBE 9lbs, I know my 12-13lb poodles would not have fit in it. Pros: *Taller (!!!) *Lighter *Not as wide *Easier to get in and out *The strap is really long, I'm 5'2 and I have it almost as short as it'll go, I want it short so I can put my hand under it. *You can collapse the bag when the dog isn't in it, but you might want to put a snap or velcro on the bottom to keep it flat. *Lots of storage .....the top little slit could hold an iphone .....the big zip compartment could hold an ipad (careful or you'll take room from the dog) .....I can put a water bottle in the flap pouch *padded chin rest (the black bit in the 3rd picture) Cons: *The color, the green is pretty ugly but it's tolerable and guy friendly (also comes in orange) *The color of the mesh, I wish it matched the rest of the bag *I'd like a way to cover the mesh when I want to be extra discrete, I'm working on a solution *There's a magnet to keep the flap down and it's kinda hard to find *The bottom is kinda slippery (I added a small blanket, problem solved) *The side opening is too big, Lola can fit through it and she fell out of it once (got over excited to greet someone, I caught her before she completely fell out, she's ok), so I keep my hand in front of her when it's open. I'm going to try adding a fabric strip across the top of the opening to make it smaller. *The tether is too long |
I didn't know they made the SoHo in that color! Pretty. They should bring that back. Write to Snoozer and tell them to make the Kelsey in that color. :D |
The purple really is beautiful, the 2nd picture is pretty accurate. It's hard to find nice purple things and even harder to order online, purple is the hardest color to photograph. I wish buddy belt would come out with a really good purple :(. I don't really mind having a boring bag color, I just wish it came in a better color like black or even tan. |

Lots of people want a purple BB, one lighter than the grape. Keeping fingers and paws crossed for one in the future. For the Snoozer Kelsey, black or tan would be great. Classic. |
It looks pink here too lol . . . I was going to say . .can you get me a pink one .;) |

I'm a sucker for aesthetics so I think I'll have to go with the soho lol |
well.... I happen to LOVE the soho. I happen to have in green and silver. Didn't I sell that one to you (I know I have a bad memory sorry) or at least we talked about it. I agree pushing 7 lbs is the max you can be comfortable in the soho. I also like the cross body. You could also try the kundel it is more like a sling |

No I bought my bag from another seller, I don't think you had lavender available when I bought it. We didn't directly talk about it either, I posted a thread asking about the shade of purple and you may have responded to it. |

I totaly understand, the size of the soho is for smaller dogs. My Remy has put on a bit of weight and it does seam a little bit tighter. Jaraden does have a bag for two dogs or larger dogs but it is very large and if the "dog mommy" is petit it looks like a suitcase. I guess if enough ask for better colors for the snoozer they could add colors? |
It reads Pink on my computer also, I was all excited and ready to place an order. |
