Bed recommendations I am looking for a good quality reasonably priced bed - any recommendations are appreciated! I bought one from Petsmart about two years ago, and it already looks extremely worn out. Many of you will probably recommend Cloud 8 bed from YHR - I already have one which my dog absolutely loves. But I am looking for a smaller traditional bed that would easily fit into my playpen. |
Sorry can't help as am in UK but if they are available there, me and Alfie love his "tramps" donut shaped bed, it is from the Scruffs range, scruffs is for dogs and Alfie's Tramps bed is actually a cat bed, but a great size for him to curl up in, he is just under 7lbs. |
1 Attachment(s) This is a pic of the Tramps bed Alfie loves. Attachment 397633 However he has This bed that sits on the corner of our sofa A similar sized but more fluffy fleece bed that sits on the floor beside the sofa A fleecy mattress that sits on the window sill in the living room A fleecy mattress that sits under the radiator in the kitchen A bigger donut fleecy bed on the upstairs landing And another fleecy donut bed in our bedroom He enjoys lying about on all of them. |
1 Attachment(s) Katie has a bed that she loves made by YT member topknot. It's not a conventional bed, but it's very pretty and comfortable for my little girl. The inside is brocade satin, but it can be made without the brocade. It was a gift from someone very special to us. VanGogh Yorkshires |

1 Attachment(s) Attachment 397637 Leroy and Mia love this bed. It is a cat bed which can also be for dogs. I initially bought it for Leroy but Mia claimed it as hers even though she already had a bed and I got them another one. They sell it at Walmart or even sometimes at Ross. They have it in different colors. Here is the link for walmart. Smartykat:Cats Bed Comfort, 1 Ct - Walmart.com |

I have one of those peanut butter cup beds. I think they're called synch beds. You can lay it flat or scrunch it up to look like a peanut butter cup. And yes. My first recommendation is a cloud nine bed. I love it! Hopefully I'll be buying 2 more soon to use as pillows on my own bed. |
We like the cloud 9 beds made by Yorkie haven rescue! Best bed ever!! |
perhaps linda could make you a smaller Cloud nine bed that would work well in your crate or you could assemble one yourself. Buy a standard size zippered pillow cover (kmart- Wallmart sell them) then fill it with soft pillow fluff that you can find at craft stores. After you fill the case, then put it zipper side to the back in a pillow case. It should fit nicely in a crate and the best part is you can pull the pillow case off to throw in the wash. I often use pillow cases on any dog beds that I have with a loose pillow. Another option if you want sides on the bed is to check Big Lots, Home Goods, and even Wall mart, you can find some inexpensive beds that will work well in a crate at those stores. I would never buy a bed at a pet store they are so much more expensive there. Some of the ones I bought at Home Goods and TJMax are very high end and I paid no more than $30.00 for them, the ones at Wallmart and Big Lots that would be good for a crate are in the $10.00 range |
Thank you all for different suggestions. |
After some research of various beds, I decided to go with Molly Mutt duvet covers. This way, I also can reuse my old clothes for her bed. Here is the pic of the one I got: dream lover duvet - dog duvets |

I have the pinkaholic premium house bed that I got from ritzyrover.com, its really soft and velvety inside. There's other websites that have this bed also but she has a coupon code so I bought it there. This is it: Pinkaholic Premium House |
Yes, my beds are very reasonable. In fact I have decided to raise the price, since mine were 10.00 below what everyone else was charging and more below compared by most. Price increase goes up April 2nd. We also make a rectangle bed. It's bigger than the doughnut shaped bed. They are (rectangle) the most popular. I make them in the solid satin and they are machine washable. My oldest bed, 4 years old, finally split by my very old Yorkie since he sleeps 24 7 in this bed and he scratched it all the time and lasted this long. So they are pretty durable! Tena, your work and your beds are exquisite. Katie loves hers. It's also so gentle on her coat, and she feels so safe and secure in it. I imagine it's great for your stunning babies, especially if they are in show coats. |
Hi I'm hoping someone on YT can help me. It's been awhile since I posted. I finally ordered a Cloud 9 Bed in the cute Pink Diva pattern. I ordered it May 11th, and it was actually deducted from my Pay Pal account, but I have never received the bed. I've emailed Yorkie Haven Boutique numerous times and have never heard anything back. I don't know what to do now. I've been so excited about getting one, but it's getting hard not hearing anything. Does anyone have any idea of what I should try next? |
Do you mean March 11? |

I'm glad Kaji likes the Cinch bed I made him! :) Are you seriously thinking of using Cloud 9s99s on your bed? That's funny stuff! But then again, the fill used IS very lofty! ;) |
Tibbe's favorite bed was the Cloud 9 bed from Ladyjane of Yorkie Haven Rescue, though I had to give it away to a pet rescue after a year or so as my old, old washing machine couldn't handle spinning it during washing cycle w/out dancing all over the floor and making a terrible noise. Tibbe misses that bed and hopefully now that I have a new washing machine, I can get him another one. He loved to dig into it, disperse the stuffing out to the sides and make a nest in it or sleep atop it high up, especially sleeping on his back with his head hanging down. It's a very durable yet inexpensive doggie bed. |

We will also be emailing you with details on this order. Thanks! :) |
Thank you so much! Hi everyone, Just wanted to say Thanks for all of your help! I did talk to Linda and Jennifer and another one is on it's way! Can't wait, I've been putting off getting one since all my little ones sleep on the couch right next to me, but just adopted a little 10 year old Maltese off Craig's List. The owner had died, after having my little Bella for ten years and her son was offering her for FREE! I had nightmares over it, and although I already had four little yorkies, I wrote to him warning him of the terrors of Craigs List and ended up taking her myself! She's a sweetheart, but is used to sleeping on the floor in her own bed, so I thought what could be better than a Cloud 9 Bed! Can't wait for her to try it out! Thanks again everyone! I knew I could count on Yorkie Talk to help! |
