Out! Potty pads changed :( I've bought two packs of out! Potty pads from Target. The first pack was good, they had a diamond pattern, the cotton was even, didn't leak, and absorbed very well. The second pack was incredibly cheap looking. The cotton is balled up in places, they leak, pee runs off the edge, and they aren't as absorbent. The boots & barkley (Target brand) ones are made like this too. I called the company and they said the second type is the new kind and they're made in the USA. The first one was made in China. So I guess I'm going to look for the ones made in China until I can find another brand. |
We use Out brand too and the consistency has varied all over the place the last couple of years. They are definitely not as good as when we first started using them. I haven't had any problems with leaking, but they are not as absorbent. |

The pee isn't going through the pad, but my puppy has a habit of peeing near the edges and the pee leaks from the edge. She also sometimes pees half on the border and half on the pad, the old ones absorbed it but with these it ran off the edge. |
I have been buying the Out brand at Walmart. They have been iffy for awhile but still work. My girls are fussy and won't use other brands. I didn't know Target sold the Out brand. |
It's weird that they're so inconsistent, I guess they use multiple factories. I ended up buying arm & hammer pee pads, Lola's actually doing better with them than she was with the out! pads. The downside is they smell perfume-y and I think it's disgusting. |
same here with the Out pads.... how do they screw up a pee pad for heaven sakes! The arm and hammer are good and the Hartz are good too. |
I just bought these Walmart Mobile I really like them. The pee does turn into a gel- soaks in the pad really well. Also the pee doesnt sit at the top of the pad. I really like them! |

Target has them $13 for 50, on sale for $12.30, and the arm & hammer site has a $1 off coupon (you can print 2 a year). |
I have tried just about every brand and have ended up with the ones that Costco carries. They are great. Big and never leak and well made. The price is also great. Around 17.00 for 100 pads. |

I just paid like $21 for 100 arm & hammer pads, the stores don't carry them but they can order them for you in the store. I used 2 20% off coupons and got free shipping. |
wow, that is a great price Chodges, ... our Costco carries Out and sometimes Hartz, I will always buy Hartz if those are my only choices, but I pay $21.00 for 100. |
a previous post of mine: |
Hartz latest ones are so much better and I pay around $16 for 100 at Costco, even in Hawaii where everything costs more. Some people use a pad holder but I don't, and there are occasional leaks from pee too close to the edge. |
