Has anyone tried these or currently gets these? I am just curious as to how well they work. We are going to be living in an apartment for about a year and would rather not have to use pee pads if I can't take Chewbacca out. I was gonna post the link but I don't know if that is against rules :/

I don't use real grass but I use a potty patch called Pet Zoom. It's artificial grass inside a tray. I line the tray with a washable potty pad for the pee pee and pick up the poo and flush it. I think keeping real grass growing would be a pain. I have extra artificial grass and rotate a clean one for a used one once a week.

Well this you throw out every two weeks when a new one comes in the mail.you don't have to maintain the grass at all. I mean obviously you pick up the poo lol. I tried the fake grass and he won't even stand on it. He doesn't like it at all. :(

I would be interested in hearing how like this system if you decide to go with it.

My girls took to the artificial grass right away and I was surprised.
I like the idea of some kind of grass (artificial or real) because they don't step in their pee pee and track like they do on a potty pad.

I have been looking for an alternative to the pee tracking on the floor so i think I'll start looking into the artificial grass.

Artificial grass doesn't work for everyone for some reason. I use Pet Zoom instead of the Potty Patch. It is a great concept because the pee doesn't get tracked off of the pad onto the floor. The problem is getting your dog to use it for pottying instead of using it to just lay on. I have tried washable pads and high absorbancy disposable pads and my dogs would still track pee on the floor. Hope you find the system that works for you.

The reviews on amazon were not great. They said if you lived on east coast grass came fresh, however, those on west coast got half dead grass. Also, some people said the box, cardboard, would leak. For these reasons and continual cost I did not get it. I have heard people having success with just using the grates in ugo potty.
