Whats a good urine eliminator?
 
Titus likes to pee on the carpet and on the hardwood. I tried using 409 pet odor eliminator or something like that but I feel like thats not working. Is there a product I can use for both carpet and hardwood?

I too like Nature's Miracle, I've tried others, but so far this is the best. You have to follow directions exactly though, and it doesn't work in an instant.

I've tried the Nature's Miracle in the red bottle. It made it smell worse for a week before it started smelling better. I still sort of smell a little. I was told to try sprinkling baking soda and leaving it for a bit and then vacuuming. Was going to do this over the weekend but had a couple of detours.

Someone else mentioned Urine Out! or Urine Gone! or something like that..I'll have to go see my thread from last week.

ETA: Okay, it was called OUT! and another person recommended something called Quick N Brite that you can find on Amazon.

The regular Natures Miracle has no perfumes, it's made to remove all the protein from the urine and the protein is what causes the odor and stain. Whenever you get something wet, it will smell stronger then when it's dry. If there is any odor, you need to reapply Natures Miracle. I usually blot up as much as I can before I use it and don't let your dogs have access to the spot until it's dry, they will be tempted to return to it. You can cover it with a towel or even pee pad. Baking soda will do nothing to get out the protein, it will neutralize the odor to a human nose, but a dog will still smell the protein and return to the spot. You need a cleaner with an enzyme that removes the protein, there are many enzyme cleaners out there, and they all work pretty much the same way. If you want something that immediately smells good there is a Nature's Miracle with a scent.

Don't forget to use these enzyme cleaners for other things too!
We use it to get out blood stains, underarm stains and amazing for cleaning up smelly summertime sandals/flipflops.

Well, I just didn't think it would smell worse before it got better. LOL! But after a week, it does smell a lot better in that room. I've blacklighted it and see nothing. I was just going to go back over it with the baking soda (not instead of the enzymes but in addition to).

I've used baking soda before and it can get messy, in the olden days that's all we had, just make sure you get it all up before you put any moisture down.

I also use Nature's Miracle on "ring around the collar" too. It works great!

I found a receipt on Pinterest for dog urine eliminator works wonders! It's a 50/50mix 1 part white distilled vinegar 1 part water! Dab up urine spray vinegar mixture then dab that up, once area is mostly dry (if on carpet) sprinkle baking soada and spray a mixture of peroxide and dawn liquid dish soap (homemade oxy clean) scrub area with toothbrush or any small scrubber and that's it no more urine smell!

Do you folks know about "Get Serious"? It was created by someone who used to be with Natures Miracle, but like the story of the owner of Wendys, went off on his own to make a better product. Doesn't need to soak as long as Nature's Miracle and works twice as fast with less product:

I use plain white vinegar. Sometimes I mix it with water and put it in a spray bottle. If I run out of it in the spray bottle I just use plain vinegar. Never had my rugs to smell like urine and the the vinegar smell goes away.
