My results with various shampoos and conditioners I've tried several shampoos and conditioners now and thought I would share my results. For reference, Zoë has fine hair and not a lot of it. It's straight. Did I mention fine and not a lot of it? :D All shampoos and conditioners were used the same way. A dollop diluted in a cup of water. Espree Silky Show Shampoo and Conditioner (my favorite) Left Zoë's hair extremely soft, great shine, hair was smooth, plus she smelled great for a week. Pet Silk Rainforest Shampoo and Conditioner (2nd favorite) Same results as Espree Silky Show. Smells clean and fresh, but I prefer the scent of Silky Show. Buddy Wash Lavender & Mint 2 in 1 Left Zoë's hair somewhat soft and fluffy. What little hair she has tangled more after using this. Smell was neutral. Made Zoë itchy. Pet Head Life' An Itch Shampoo with So Spoiled Conditioner Left Zoë's hair soft but took away the shine. Hair was fluffy. Smells yummy but didn't last all week. Yorkie Shine Shampoo and Conditioner Left Zoë's hair soft and fluffy. Smells great and lasted the whole week. But made Zoë itchy. I like Zoë's hair smooth and silky. Scent is a plus. Think I'll stick with Espree and Pet Silk for now. I'm running out of space to hide, I mean store all her items  |
Thanks for this! I'm working on figuring out the best combo for Mandie's hair. Her hair tends to be so dry (I end up spritzing it with a spray Moraccan oil). She has pretty fine hair, too...but it's not shiny at all..never has been. I'm not sure if that is because she still is transitioning from her puppy hair or what. |
Thank you for the reviews |
I'm such a sucker for any kind of grooming product! I've heard good things about Espree, but I've never tried it. Now I'm going to have to :p My Yoshi has the same coat texture as Zoe. Thanks for the tip! |
Thanks. Will be trying espree. Jasmin has cotton coat. Looks so dry. Will be giving her coconut oil to see if this will help give it some shine. |
Espree is a fav amongst groomers & also makes a great face foaming wash. I use the Plum Perfect Facial Cleanser & it's tear free. I'm going to carry it on my site very soon!:D |
I bought the Espree silky show coat shampoo & conditioner yesterday! Thanks for the tip! I have officially found a new favorite :) I love the scent! I've been using Isle of Dogs silky coating. I love that scent too. But the Espree scent isn't as heavy...not so in your face. It leaves the coat weightlessly shiny & silky. Thanks for the recommendation! |

I didn't know Espree had a face wash. I need to try that. Toplinepet/mimimomo is great to order from. Super fast. |
Put the Espee down as a "need to buy" product. Thank you for taking the time to do this, great information! |
Thanks for doing the research! Jack's hair sounds like Zoe's - straight and fine. Izzy's is straight but right now we are battling with puppy coat still and her fur is more cottony - not as silky as Jack's. Hopefully the Espree will work for both of their coats. I will have to buy some for them and try it out. |

The breeder recommended Plum Perfect Facial Cleanser also. Does the bottle last long? |
Hi, I'm relatively new to YT and we don't even have our baby girl, Princess Sophie, yet but I have been getting ready to receive her and stocking up on products I know I will need. My question is, the "Diet and Health" library says that Aloe is toxic to dogs and the Espree products all have Aloe in them. So I am very confused as to what would be SAFE to use on my baby girl??? Can anyone advise me??? I'm looking for Brand Names to check out. |
I have been using treseme on Sadie it's great nice shiny coat smells great soft and fluffy she has fine silky hair it lasts all week but she's itchy I'm gunna try mane n tail next time as I use it too lol |

Thanks again, I'm just at my wits end on this subject as no one has been able to suggest a brand. Princess Sophie's Mommy:aimeeyork Diane |

Aloe is toxic (gives belly aches) only when ingested in pure form (the way it comes out of the plant). Aloe is perfectly safe for your pup when used outside the body, as in hair products. Some people have asked if skin absorption is a problem. There are many things for both humans and pets that we safely use topically, but we should never take by mouth. I like Espree products and have used the Show Shampoo on my boys many times. |
Thank you so very much, your comment makes me much more comfortable. I have purchased the Espree Tearless Shampoo, Silky Show Conditioner, and Coat Renewal Aloe Hydrating Spray. They all have aloe in them and I was worried. I still am a bit concerned as when I bathed my other pups, they invariably ended up swallowing some suds. I really do appreciate the info you shared. If you are concerned, you can always contact them & ask, they were very helpful.:) Congrats on your new baby girl! |
Has anyone tried the Bio-Groom products? I sent away for some free samples and they arrived today. Of course I won't be able to try them till our Princess Sophie arrives but I wondered if anyone had experience with this brand?? |
I ordered samples from "Bio-Groom" for pets and they came in the mail today. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this brand?? I received the "Fluffy Puppy Tearless Shampoo, the "Silk Conditioning Cream Rinse", the "Groom N' Fresh Cologne", and the"Ear Care Non-Oily - Non Sticky Ear Cleaner". Before I try it on my new baby, who isn't even with us yet, I was hoping someone may have already tried it. Sorry for the duplicate post. First one didn't show up right away. Mi a culpa |

I use both of the shampoo and conditioner on my babies. I really like it but now my yorkie who is one is starting to get itchy skin and my vet recommended that I switch her to something else! The smell is ok in that its a clean smell but not fruity or florally. I also have used their deep conditioner as an oil treatment! |
