Puppy Cake Mix?

Has anyone tried the Wheat-Free Puppy Cake Mix or heard any reviews regarding the product?

We received this cake mix in our December bark box. I was thinking about making it tomorrow for my puppy's 1st birthday :D but I wanted to hear some feedback before I made it. :thumbup: I made a cake for Ella's birthday in July but neither one of them seemed to like it :( :thumbdown

The ingrediants sound fairly safe, I really don't think you need to add any sugar to a dog treat, but as long as they are only getting a tiny piece it shouldn't upset them too much.

I've never heard of them not liking any homemade treat, what did your last cake have in it?

My last cake was a peanut butter cake. I don't remember the exact recipe but I found a similar one with egg, peanut butter, cooking oil, vanilla extract, shredded carrots, flour, baking soda & optional honey.

I have two very picky puppies! Sometimes Ella wont even try a treat even though I know she will like it.

I wonder why they didn't like that, it sounds really tasty. The cake mix is a peanut butter flavored mix, so it might be similar to the one you made.

Well, let us know how your finicky little ones like it. Joey use to be finicky, but vet said he had to diet, and now he loves everything.

If Ella wont try something new that you made,just take a bite first. Mina will eat anything that she thinks it is ok for Mommie.

I have used the brand many times for doggy birthdays and they love it! Not so much the icing but they love the cake. I have not made that flavor yet.

I will have to try this! I think this might work. I'm almost positive if I were to hand feed them they would eat it no problem! Maybe a little trickery instead.

I used this yesterday for Luma's birthday! I was so excited that we got it in the last barkbox. Luma loved the cake. I didn't have a muffin tin so I used a small square glass cake dish. DO NOT TASTE TEST THE ICING!!! lol, my goodness, I almost threw up. The cake was actually good though. We had the red velvet flavor.

I'm glad Luma loved it. We have the red velvet flavor too, I hope Ella & Lily like it. :) I thought the cake mix was a perfect item to add in the barkbox especially with Lily's birthday coming up. :thumbup: But I will take your word for it and remember not to taste the icing! :yelrotflm

After smelling the icing I could not make myself test it lol
