Need No-Pull Harness Our Bella is one year and 5 lbs - which seems small, but when she pulls with all her might on walks, her paws pay the price. She ends up scrapping them even in the grass - somehow! You never know it's happened until we get back home and find small red blood dots on the kitchen floor. I know martingales are bad and would love a no pull harness, but can't seem to find any small enough. As anyone out there been able to find this product or know someone who makes them? try a buddy belt// morgan does really good with his// also when they pull my trainer said to just stop and wait till they quit pulling// it worked for morgan |
That whole stopping thing won't work for Bella. She just gets up on her two back legs and continues to pull with all her might. The buddy belt isn't a no-pull harness; and they are price. I'd rather spend the money on a harness designed to be no-pull. :animal-pa |
We also have buddy belts and they sit no where close to the neck. We love ours! Maximo sells them and she can tell you more :) |

No pull harness. Have you tried a good pet store, not the big chains? There is a review in The Whole Dog Journal, Oct 2012. The prices seem to be from 20-50 $. The best they thought was the Sense-Ible Harness, $25. Web site is " Softouchconcepts.com". This is a front clip harness. More on web site I guess. |
We have a harness for one of the poodles that has a "D" ring in front,close to his shoulder. If he pulls,he is turned to the side. It only took acouple of times for him to figure out that he was going in circles when he pulled. |
I love the choke*free Harness. I also sell them :) But... I seam to remember Chattiesmom used to carry and sell and harness that was designed to stop pulling. I will look to see if I can find an old link. |

Sweety It will be hard to get a harness that does not go in front. A no pull harness is described above in my post that does not hurt the neck area. As for insurance the two best seem to be. Healthy Paws and the one I have, Trupanion. The latter I have found excellent but some say it is more expensive. The Healthy Paws my friend had and it seems very good and less cost. |
Chattiesmom Silk Harness with the front D ring I purchased one of Chattiesmom Silk step in harness with the front d ring when my girl was about 6 months. The leash attaches to the front of the harness so when she ran ahead of me she kept getting turned sideways. She was quick to figure it out and learned to walk beside me perfectly. I liked that she caused herself the problem and all I had to do was keep walking. The good news is that when I ordered her another harness and I didn't need the d ring in it! Good luck! |
