Are rawhide chews made in China safe? I noticed when shopping yesterday in our local Wal-Mart that is close to my office.....a large inventory of rawhide type chews, but all made in China exception of Nylabone brand. I have been using those, but the size that works best for Lilly our tiny Yorkie.....our Aussie eats the whole thing, as 2 have disappeared and only thing I can think of is she "ate" the whole thing as it is smaller size and she could do it. She is 13 and still is "addicted" to chewing on these until gone. That is why I bought the nylabones. Need to get one a little bigger, but small enough for Lilly to chew on and too big for Shasta to swallow. I have stayed away from made in China rawhide products....are they safe? Have heard otherwise....what are opinions of this board, I can't believe how many Walmart has stocked. Somebody is buying a lot of these apparently. Couldn't find one single one made in USA. |
nothing from china is safe for animals in my opinion i avoid rawhide and all china products. bullies are what i give my babies and nylabones as well. |
My thoughts too Quote:
This is why I won't buy anything made in china, especially for pets as I don't trust what is in them either. It is bad enough here in USA and I only buy the Holistic brand type dog food and pay the expensive price, I am feeding 5 dogs too with 3 large breeds. I was at costco yesterday as well and same there too for all their rawhide chews, all made in china. Was hoping someone knew of some I could buy online even that are made in America.....,.is there such a brand out there? |

I just ordered 3 different sizes from above link you provided....thanks!!! |
Don't buy anything made in China. You also have to check to see if the source of the product came from China. Sometimes the package reads "Make in USA" but the ingredient comes from China. |
