You would think it would but I have still gotten people saying he or is that a boy. In my head I'm like really pink harness, pink leash, pink collar and pink clothes do you really think shes a boy? lol

This thread made me realize, I don't have a single photo of ZoE in her BB :(

My kids were home over Christmas break and took her to the park often and took plenty of photos, but they have a tendency to choose one of the Puppias....probably cos they are in pretty colours with matching leashes and look cute with her hair bows. ZoE's BB is black and they don't think it's "pretty" enough....I think I need to order a pink one...and maybe a red one too :)

Well, I've found pics of ZoE in her buddy belt. I can't even tell if she had it on in some photos because it always looks like it's hiding as you can hardly see it under her hair. I'd love to see pics of longer haired pups with coloured BBs to see if it's more noticeable.

I want to get some buddy belts! Maximo is looking into ordering the lizard pearly taupe one for Sophia. It is so beautiful!

I have seen the butter colored one too...I think that would look great on Peyton. Of course, so would the red and the black! :p Not to mention the green croc!!!

Oooo all those colors sound beautiful! The pink one I ordered I guess is a special edition (?) so it's going to take longer to get it from the manufacturer... I want my Buddy Belts already! :p Maybe I should have ordered from Maximo... If only I'd known :rolleyes:

I am looking to get Trixie a new harness and am considering the bb since Chattiesmom is still not feeling up to making her silk ones. My friend/neighbor also needs a harness for her morkie too.

I have a question though...I remember looking at one a long time ago in a specialty store and the bb felt really stiff. Will the bb rub against Trixie's skin and cause any irritation???

It is a lil stiff at first like any new leather item. But, because it's real leather, it softens up the more you use it. ZoE's hasn't caused her any irritation at all, but it may do with some pups because they do sell pads that stick to the harness to stop rubbing...and why would they have them unless some people have had a problem with it? Also, ZoE's BB is black and I've heard others say that some of the other colors seems to be a little bit stiffer...but can't speak to that as we just have the one right now.

Each dog is different and has different sensitivities. As KazzyK810 indicated above, some colors and sizes are stiffer than others and take longer to break in and mold to the body, like a pair of leather shoes. Sizes 1 through 3.5 are super soft from the start in a lot of the colors. Black and Cocoa and the "Luxury" colors are the softest.

Buddy Belt also has soft arm liners available for purchase to help sensitive dogs during the breaking in period. Capt Noonie made her own liners. You can also manually work the harness to break it in rather than letting your dog do all the work on walks.
