Isle of Dog Shampoo/conditioner/brush spray is FANTASTIC Last Fall, Wendell won a prize in the Halloween contest for his Pirate costume. His award was Isle of Dog (IOD)Silky Coating Line (Shampoo, Conditioner & Brush Spray) From Topline Pet toplinepet.com. His hair was really short when we adopted him last Spring, and I've been working hard to get it to grow out. Since he sleeps with us, I bath him at least once a week. I've been trying various hair products since we adopted him last year, but hadn't tried IOD. I had given up on using any conditioner,. Though it made it easier to get him combed out, no matter which one I used, or how long I rinsed it out, he would look great for a day or two, then become sort of stringy/greasy looking. When I got the IOD products, I lined them up for his bath. The shampoo lathers nicely and smells great. I went ahead and tried the conditioner, and it lived up to it's motto of giving "run-your-hands-through-it silkiness." After drying, his coat was silky and beautiful. But what REALLY has won me over is that it stays that way. Even a week later, it's flowy and pretty, not greasy and stringy looking like it was with other products. When it turned cold and I put his new sweater on him and we went for a long walk. When we got home and took his sweater off, I was horrified that his hair was completely matted! I was thinking that I was going to have to take him to the groomer to get shaved down. But then I remembered the IOD brush spray. I sprayed him down completely, and worked on small sections to comb out the tangles. To my delight, it WORKED! The spray lubricated the tangles enough so that they combed out. And even more surprisingly, once he dried, he wasn't greasy looking either. I can't say enough good things about Isle of Dog. Though we got the first products as a "freebie" I will happily purchase this when I run out. |
I couldn't agree more. I've been using IOD for months now. It makes Betty Boop's silky hair shiny and fluffy, and has a nice scent. When she wears clothing, her hair doesn't even get matted. It brushes easily. |
I will have to try this. I have been using baby shampoo, but I'm wanting to use some type of conditioner on her as well. |
ToplinePet is fab. I've loved the things I bought from Jenny. Sometimes I've ordered things from her, and it seems like they've arrived at my house before I even hit "submit order". I can't recall which IOD product I have - I think it's a spray...? It smells delish. |
How do I place an order with Jenny? |

She carries wonderful grooming tools, also. I have one of her blue pin brushes and the 4.5" mustache comb that I use every day. |
Thanks for your help. I will check it out.:) |

I usually use Harry Barker, and have tried Yorkie Splash and Shine, but this sounds too good not to try... especially the conditioner! Thanks for posting your experience with IoD, this will definately be my next sham/cond purchase :) |
I agree I love IOD, I use it on all my dogs, it's great for my Maltese too. Makes them soft and silky. |

I actually use this. I use the Better that Oatmeal BooHoo Shampoo and the Smoother than Velvet Vanilla Shea Butter Conditioner. My yorkie feels amazingly soft after her bath. It's good if your dog has a dry coat too. |
I just used IOD tonight for the first time and I am totally impressed. I bought the "silky" line and used the shampoo, cond, & brush spray. My Sophie looks amazing. She was very easy to brush out and she smells amazing. Can't wait to see how long it lasts. I ordered some Splash & Shine today too so I'm excited to try that when it comes. |
