Dental Scalers/Scrapers Harley has some spots on his rear molers that need to be scraped off but I don't what type of scaler/scraper to buy. Any help?? |
I got mine from petedge.com but I know they sell them on ebay all the time. Some are with a buy it now. I have one that is the scraper and I have one that looks just like a humans with a very pointed hook on it. I use both of them on my dogs. You just have to be very patient and careful. You could rip their gums and then you will never be able to do it again. Good Luck |

I've seen ones that have a point on the end and others that are flat?? |
That will work. |

Yes, I use the flat scraper (it really has a groove in it) to start at the top of the tooth and then I scrape down. I use the sharp (pointed) end to try and clean between the teeth. |
Oh! Got ya! Thanks! Sorry I'm such a dork.. lol |
Let me know how it goes...just remember it will take a while...it was frustrating for me at first but now I do it at the end of the day when one of mine is sleeping in my lap and they are totally relaxed. Like limp dolls... |
